Beat a badly depleted Senior sturt team, who kicked just 2 goals in the second half of a game...and took the brilliance of Ports Kane Cornes to get in front in the last.

So where are all the Sturt supporters now?. You lost to the bottom team from last year. Its a good thing Cornes played so well that means Mark Williams can pick him for the Power this week so he won't be able to play for the Tigers against the Magpies, HAHAHAHAHA. So c'mon Sturt supporters please come back and remind us Port people how good your team is.

Why don't all you wanker Port and other opposition supporters piss off and worry about your own sorry mobs. The Tiges win a game and all you ********s can write about is how they beat a depleted Sturt side and Kane Cornes had to rescue them. What a crock of crap. Did any of you actually watch the game?

I'd be willing to bet it won't be the last time Glenelg will win this year.

Why on earth have Sturt got a depleted side - it's only round one for focks sake. Do they train on Friday nights with the Camrys or something? http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/wink.gif

A depleted Sturt team?? What a joke. The only Senior players that Sturt really had missing were Damien Squire and Steven White( Who played in the reserves I hear. Glenelg actually had more senior players out than sturt( Viska, Ottens, Irvin, Mc Kenzie e.t.c). Face the fact that all of you sturt supporters who have spent the last 6 months saying how Glenelg wouldnt win a game have made absolute fools of yourself. Oh and also Glenelg won in the resrves, under 19's and 17's as well.

QT, Glenelg will win more games than the crows this year without doubt( not that winning a couple of games would be particularly hard)!

Dont forget all the players that Sturt lost in the off season Easty. Robinson, Irvin etc...13 senior players. Take 13 senior players out of the Tigers and see how well you go!

Hey Eastaugh36 - still no word re: your failure to provide the preview for AFLTips.Com as you promised.

Do you think you might apologise for letting the side down some time soon? Or are you just going to be a rude bugger and ignore it?

Macca19. The person you accused of being easty was not him, it was me. However i am registered now, so ia can excpect to put up with abuse from you, particularly if you think im easty(you probably will. And why the hell do you have such a soft spot for Sturt, a team supposedly hated by Port supporters. Sturt lost on Saturday and you are still wasting your time abusing or being sarcastic to Glenelg supporters or anyone who even shows any empathy towards Glenelg. There is 9 teams in this comp but by the way you act you would think there was only 2 or 3

I was pleased to see Glenelg win. Good for the competition and their supporters. They have been through quite a few years of disunity and had to suffer the MacGuinness era. From what I hear the club appears to has some unity now and Brenton Honour having the respect of players, supporters and importantly the board/past players. They do have some good players to come into their side and should have a balance of AFL players each week.
Nothwithstanding the above, I hope the new look Pooley led Port team beat the crapper out of them on Saturday.

I heard some wanker commentator on FiveAA say that Laurence Angwin took the game into his own hands and won it himself and he is going to be a superstar at the COWS.

Angwin is not as bad as some of your other AFL rejects but he didn't win the game off his own boot. No Glenelg nonce can put a foot wrong in your book.

Haha, yes, especially not 'home grown' Glenelg stars like Angwin, hey Easty?
