Just curious, what are your thoughts on our best 22 now?
Assuming all fit which, if any of the newer/younger guys have impressed enough to be best 22 material??

I can't really contribute much as I've yet to watch an entire game this season due to work committments etc but I'm interested in your opinions.

cheers

I'm more interested in what our best needs to be for us to win another flag in the next few years:

B: Selwood Glass Spangher
HB: Waters ???? Bones
C: Ebert Priddis Embley
HF: Butler Kennedy Hurn
F: McKinley Hunter LeCras
R: Cox Kerr Masten
INT: Lynch Stenglein Selwood ????

Have I missed anyone.

Would be nice to slot Daniel Rich in there somewhere. Still need to figure out who plays CHB and FF.

Not likely that this will actually be our best 22 when we challenge again, but it's a projection.

well the lock-ins IMO are:

Sam Butler
Dean Cox
Brad Ebert
Michael Braun
Andrew Embley
Darren Glass
Adam Hunter
Josh Kennedy
Daniel Kerr
Mark LeCras
Quinten Lynch
Chris Masten
Matt Priddis
Adam Selwood
Tyson Stenglein
Beau Waters
David Wirrpanda

Well there's 17, the other 5 out of the following:

Mitchell Brown
Ryan Davis
Chad Fletcher
Ashley Hansen
Tim Houlihan
Shannon Hurn
Ben McKinley
Jamie McNamara
Mark Nicoski
Matt Rosa
Will Schofield
Mark Seaby
Brent Staker
Beau Wilkes

only couple that people may not agree with is probably braun/stenglein as lockins.

Definetly don't put Seaby in. He is one of the reasons we lost last night. He can't play footy in the AFL, he's just that bad.

Add probably, McKinley, Wilkes, Rosa, Fletcher. The last spot would have to come down to Nicoski, McNamara or Staker.

the injuries are making this a hard question to answer at the moment, but i like that a lot of our young guys are getting a run and an opportunity to show us something.

i personally reckon it's a few of the senior players who are looking vulnerable this season.

when judd left i thought we'd still be capable of being at least half the team we were last year but we've fallen far short of that because a lot of players have gone missing; ordinary kicking for goal and losing too many one-on-one contests.

McKinley is playing very well on ABC at the moment. I'd suggest he come straight back in. I hope anyway.

I think Wirra & Braun will retire. Above are our best 22 players. If we get Rich he will slot in for Rosa/Nicoski.

B: Selwood Glass Wilkes
HB: Waters Brown Jones
C: Hurn Priddis Embley
HF: Butler Kennedy Ebert
F: McKinley Hunter LeCras
R: Cox Kerr Masten
INT: Lynch Stenglein Rosa Nicoski

I would say the first crumber we draft will slot straight in for Wirra.
