Hey Eagles.
I'm interested in learning a bit more about Mark LeCras. I see that you guys really rate him as a star of the future, I've barely seen him play so don't really have any opinion.
Obviously he won't kick a big swag of goals this season due to missing half of the season.
But is he a player who you'd consider likely to kick 50+ goals in a season (Main foward target)? Will he be a specialst career small foward (Phil Matera/Jeff Farmer etc.) or will he build his motor and move into the middle (Alan Didak)?

If you watched last night you would have noticed that he looks all class when he gets the ball. Of the players mentioned he is more a Didak than the others - he can mark, rove the ball and play on ball - he has played a lot as a midfielder at West Perth.
Of course unlike Didak he is actually a good bloke. Didak is a ____wit.

I'm not trolling, so you don't need to attack Didak. I literally have seen no more then 5 minutes of LeCras. I saw him have maybe 1 kick last night in first quarter while I was at work. Due to my work (Pub) I don't get to see a lot of footy these days. I hear that he is all class. This is why I'm interested in him. I see that he kicked 3 goals which is fantastic after coming back from injury.
Obviously he is a developing player. I'm mostly interested in the role you see him playing. Which right now, sounds like you're suggesting a flank/midfielder, who may be more damaging with his disposals then most, and probably going to kick goals.

Reminds me of ben cousins a lot.
Not the same league but could be a pretty good player.
Will play on the HFF. A few of us were thinking he may make a transition into the midfield this year, but with the emergence of Masten and Ebert and with Butler coming back from injury, LeCras is much more valuable to us in the forward line.
Looking forward to seeing how this setup would go at some point this year.
HF: LeCras Kennedy Hurn
FF: McKinley Hunter Wirrpanda
2 smalls, 2 talls and a medium forward, nice mix of players. Put Hurn on the HFF but let him play long stints in the middle.
(Haven't forgot about Lynch, he'll be backing Coxy up in the middle).

will be a very good player. I see him as a clone of nathan brown (richmond) as he can lead out and mark (as he plays taller than he is), good kick for goals, is very nimble, has good crumbing skills, and can be moved in to the midfield or a HFF. Give him time. He got 30 odd goals last year when he was 20 years old, so it is far too early to tell how good he will be. Mitch brown (FF), Kennedy (CHF), Lecras (HFF) and Mckinley (FP) will be a very good set of forward targets.

The thread is about Le Cras why bring up Didak we have had enough problems inhouse without that crap being bought up! On a side note he is all class and cant wait for him to take the competion by storm.

I'd be happy just to have both of them fit and playing in the same team !

Mckinley kicked 3 goals for East Perth and obviously Lecca played last week so they should both be back this or next week.
All class.
Moves so well.
A great kick of the footy.
Star!
LeCras - Hunter - Wirra
McKinley - Kennedy - Lynch
starting to look alright the forward line...
I cant believe how long it took him to get a real crack. How many 30+ possession 5 goal + games in a row did he have. Would of been about 4 or 5. Definetly the best young small forward in the game. Way ahead of Rioli
All class. Has so much time with the footy, and uses it so well. Makes the most of chances no matter the pressure. So looking forward to seeing him with a full preseason having a huge 09. Should look at getting a jumper with a 2 on the back...
Reminds me of ben cousins a lot.

Remind me most of Dean Kemp (build, class, poise..) , but I'm probably biased. ;)
