The commentator said he hadn't seen anyone kick a goal from that pocket in 33 years... and what do you know My Man Willo slots it! This is a Summary of Willos perforamance

He had the equal most tackles (5) with Campbell Brown.
Was extremely team orientated aka passes the ball of to Buddy when he could of slotted it, great defensive pressure to cause turnovers
Was our second best dream teamer scoring 114 and 1 point less than C.Brown dam you (just joking I love you brown)
Record high possessions, I think, 17 disposals and 2 goals 3 behinds
Was enjoying himself, was smiling and cheer loud and proud in the after game huddle hawk song!:thumbsu:

Cheers Willo for a fine performance!

Pretty sure I've seen Ben Dixon kick a goal from there in 2001 against port to get us over the line. ;)

Was a good goal though!

Great goal.
I wish sometimes he'll go back and kick it instead of looking to passs it off.
Maybe he lacks some confiedence?

I actually think he was looking for BUddy trying to get him in the game. They are mates and Buddy has often set him up for a goal or two when he's had a down game.

That's my theory anyway.

Yeah great game. Not only was he having a great team game to back up from last week, he also continues to give ridiculously good leads in the forward 50. Such a weapon :thumbsu:

The commentator said he hadn't seen anyone kick a goal from that pocket in 33 years...

It was Malcolm Blight who said that, and obvisouly he's been to every AFL/SANFL game ever played on that ground in the past 33 years to know this. I don't mean to belittle Williams goal, it was brilliant, just highlight another case of a football commentator speaking s**t.

Loved the goal and Williams game. I think he's played great of late going into the midfield and occassionally presenting himself up forward. Only thing missing of recent weeks was contributing on the scoreboard which he did last night with Buddy missing. Only wished he took a few more shots at goal instead of trying to pass one off and play on with another when he was within range.

Malcom Blight is a dead set idiot at the best of times but yes it was an awesome goal to Williams.

Yeah Willo had a great game but I can't believe he actually tried to pass it when he was 40 out.

Some posters were calling for Willo to be dropped and traded. What a joke. He is class and super super dangerous.

I agree that every time he is within range he should have a shot. He looked good up the ground as well last night.

Yeah it was Blight. He speaks anything that comes to his mind which are all bull****.

But yes the goal was great and Willo's performance was inspirational ! :)
