This is bullshit. :(

This is exactly what I hate most.

Of course I like it when we are good. I can accept it if we are shit.

What guts me in this IN BETWEEN bullshit. One week good, one week shit.

NO CONSISTENCY!!!

Be good, or be shit. Simple.

If you're good, beat shit sides.

For the record from now on I am classifying us as shit until proven wrong.

And that means a flag.

yeh im shattered aswell but i wouldn't clasify us as shit we knocked off the reigning premiers, and we knocked off the premiers of the last two years in the finals last year.....although i am FILTHY on the loss!!

There just seems to be such a huge gulf between our very best, and our worst. That's what makes losses like this so frustrating. Why is it that we can play such determined, hard footy against the reigning premiers, but when we go up against our greatest rivals we look like we're on a different wavelength? You wouldn't even know it was the same team the way we played today.

I know MM doesn't believe in the idea of getting up because of outside influences, but the pride of the club was at stake, and we were supposed to be honouring one of our greatest ever captains today. That is what makes the performance all the more disappointing for me.

Thanks for the birthday present, Pies. What a pathetic display. No chance of top four from 7-5 with our draw.

Heartless.

I agree, be shit or be good. Don't be half and half. How is it we can beat good sides and then lose this sort of game?

Ditto. At least any Carlton mates won't be able to give you too much shit.

Mine's actually tomorrow, and I get to celebrate it with an exam :thumbsd:

Thrashings in the middle of the season mean diddly squat if we don't get a Flag.

MM has been our coach since 2000, he hasn't won a flag since he took control of a ready made side in the Eagles.....

Lossing twioce to Carlscum is a sackable offence.

I am a very confused Cat fan. You were absolutely rabid, as fired up and full on with intensity like nothing i've seen.....since 2 years ago when you thrashed us by 102 points!! Yet, we have won our last 5 games against Carlton by roughly 10 goals every time, and have had absolutely no trouble against them.

Collingwood....have lost twice to the Blues??? I can understand perhaps the 1st time this season, the sword of Damocles in Carlton's record losing sequence may have been a powerful motivator, but Collingwood had virtually got themselves right back into top 4 contention with three good wins. With the Crows and Lions losing, a spot in the top 4 was closing fast. But, Fevola pulls out a massive game (He must love you guys!) and puts your side back in the pack at 7-5.

Like others have said, if you play like you did against Geelong you could well be premiers, that's irresistable footy. But the flip side of the Pies, which Geelong never see from yourselves, is pretty ordinary. Freud, Jung and Dr Phil combined couldn't work out how that happens!!

Mind you, i would always be wary of playing Collingwood in a final, as your side simply brings an 'A' game against us that is almost unrivalled in the league.

I'm sick of all these rhymes and riddles from the bloke at the top, and I believe it's a cop out to say that players should be self motivated enough to go out and play every game at the same level, it's a load of shit.

I've always been a fan of MM, but I tell you why Carlton have beaten us 2 times this year, because they have proud Carlton people at the top that want to beat Collingwood so badly and you can see it radiate in their players all day long, while we have a man taking charge who wants to look at every week like it's identical, well gee sometimes you need to play to your players emotions.

Have some respect for the fans and the rivalry, and on a day when one of the best players to ever wear the black and white did his lap of honor you serve up that. You can blame the umpires, you can blame the players, you can blame what or who you like, but I blame passion today. We didn't have any.

Carlton have been down and out over the last few years, but on the majority of occasion when they played us they could still come off and say well we had a red hot dip today against a far superior team, unfortunately, we can't and it ____'n stinks.

Take your win against Geelong, take your win against St. Kilda and West Coast, I wanted to nail Carlton.

Thanks for that, but id be more worried as a doggies supporter about which pies team will turn up next week; the options are;

1. The insipid, pathetic, unfit and heartless side today and in rd 4.

2. The rabid, intense, amazing tackling side that played vs Geelong, and to a lesser extent vs WCE.

3. The middle of the road side that played all the other games.

My guess is a mixture of 2 and 3, but only team 2 can beat the dogs.

me too. But i half expected to lose today. With our game depending on intense tackling we just cant do it week in week out. WE need a ruckman and i truly beleive we need to plan for 2010 by blooding all the talent in the seconds. I exepect we will lose by 8 goals next week. Not sure if we have the best coaching panel right now.

BUCKS THANKS
