OK, took a while, but we got there in the end.

So, here's your chance to vote for your favourite clash guernsey design as submitted by the clever dicks/dickettes of BigFooty. As started earlier. the club are taking a keen interest in how this pans out, so the voting process is important too. Poll will stay open for about 6 weeks. The winner will receive a one year BigFooty Supporters Club membership.

Thanks to all those who entered. Some I wasn't able to consider as they didn't meet the criteria set out initially, but I thank those people for their efforts. The names have been erased to protect the innocent.

I honestly would be happy with any of the above designs as our clubs clash strip.

Seems to be some sizing issues going on. I'll see what I can do to make it a little clearer. In the meantime, vote carefully! :D

What makes it hard for me to choose is the incredible likeness in colour to the Bulldogs. It's the predominant white with blue and only a smidge of maroon, with the blazing red of the vodafone logo, obviously that bit can't be helped.

All that said it leaves me with one choice, but I think it is too predominantly bears-based.

Oh I don't know. I'll really have to think about this one.

The more I think about it, the more I reckon there is a 'lower' solution to this issue.

Stuff the jumper, work with the shorts!

Bright white with alternate blue and maroon letting saying 'AWAY' stamped on the bum in BIG letters!

It certainly wouldn't harm the credibility of players with the women either whose eyes couldn't help but be drawn to the easy on the eye athletic behinds with the big letters all over them!

I think there is one which is clearly the best one. Unfortunately, I checked the wrong box and voted for the one above it. :o

If the club really is looking at the results, the indication (with the limited votes so far) couldn't be more clear - KEEP THE BLOODY THING SIMPLE!!

Not a claw mark, gradient, or urine stain in sight.

Voting has only been open an hour or two, I think we can nearly declare the winner, simple design but effective and already has a 4 vote lead over the opposition.

Wish I had come up with it.

Ok you're an idoit,
seriously though the leading jumper ATM has a white back with maroon numbers.
And the jumper in second ATM has blue/white back with white numbers.

FWIW I prefer to have the blue on the back

With the third one, the number on the back blends in too much with the exisiting white. I prefer the jumper leading atm, because the number stands out better.

OK groovers,

I'm voting for the only jumper with a proper gold lion! Gold foil.

The blue and maroon stripe across the chest represent the usual blue and maroon panels on the home jumper. No extra stripes up the side, just a 'clashified' version of the classic shape of our home jumper. I would buy one.

And did I mention the gold foil lion? :thumbsu:

IMO the one 2nd from the bottom is the best, but I'm not sure it would look as good if you combined it with white shorts.

The one 5th from the bottom is also good, but again isn't so good with the white shorts.

I take it from the above that everyone is in favor of a white based clash jumper instead of yellow?

I honestly thought there would be one or two more yellow options to vote on.

The one two from the bottom is, IMO, clearly the best one, and I think the reason it is proving popular with everyone is the top half of it, ie the Lion then the blue with the gold trim around the sleeves and neck. It really is a great compromise strip.

No, not me. I like the yellow one. It's striking and I think yellow is the easiest colour for the eye to detect using your peripheral vision. That will certainly help our game! ;)

Good point, could you have maroon and white shorts, so the maroon continues down the line of the top?

I reckon all maroon shorts would be the way to go, but I think away shorts have to be white. Is that right?

I voted for the second one from the bottom from the designs available.

Had a design existed that showed simply our normal home jumper, except the gold and maroon were reversed (e.g. a maroon lion on a gold background with our normal blue yoke remaining), then that design would have received my vote instead.

Go the Gold Lion! I like also the second-last one, except I'd get rid of the blue bit on the top, and just have the gold lion on the front. The Lions need more bling!

I'm glad someone sees the beauty of a real gold lion :thumbsu:

The team has obviously shown a penchant for trying innovative things with the clash jumper in the past (gradients, claw marks, wrap around lion etc) - I think this is a way to keep up the innovation, but keep a traditional looking jumper. And it's predominately white, which is the whole point of a clash jumper...

Personally a real gold Lion is not something I would like to see. But that is purely personal opinion. I like the traditional gold/yellow lion, a foil look I think in real life makes a jumper look like it will break up the first time you wash it.

Sorry:o

For interest sake....

I have purely swapped the maroon and gold around (Even with the shorts).

I think the number would be an issue though.

Lionbear,I don't mind your above jumper either, as a clash jumper, with maroon shorts and socks.....definately no mistaking who is who wearing a bright one like that...:thumbsu:

Only if you buy your clothes from Best and Less ;)

Besides, I don't think the boys wear the same jumper twice on field, so they won't have to worry about that...Have you seen the Aussie cricket shirts with the gold stripes on the dark green material? They hold together really well...And look good.

But thanks for the feedback...

For the players it would be fine, but for the supporters who purchase the jumper and will want to wear it 100's of times a iron on Lion would be a nightmare;)

No, it'll be fine...Puma would use the best gold foil - strong enough to withstand even lionbear's washing machine!

Gold foil is where it's at..

The second last one for mine, I like the maroon numbers on the back, which is probably the only reason I didn't choose number three. You could lose the maroon piping down the side even and may need a bit of maroon outline around the Lion, otherwise plain, simple, good.

I have had a re-think.......I'm now going with the majority....have decided I prefer that one, (2nd from bottom) after really looking at it closely.....the one I originally chose is too much like bulldogs i have now realised..

As someone who owns Australia's current one day top. "IT DOESN'T WORK"
The top gets hand washed to preserve the cheap gold foil on it. I would never put it in a washing machine, unless I want to replace it every 6 months.

Sorry, since my descent back into the ranks of the peasants, I haven't really been keeping tabs on things too much.

Congrats to your good self on winning the comp by an absolute street!

Weevil, POBT or LL, can you organise the years BFSC?

Not that my vote matters supporting the bulldogs, but that one 2nd bottom is excellent, much better than that piss stains thing, send a copy to the newspapers or something.

Perhaps blue numbering would look better with it, but either way its very good
