What a stupidly overblown headline from the west. If he had done a one week hammy injury he'd be gone for the rest of the season too.
In regards to the injury to Andrew Embley, I wonder whether the investigation team will look at how the injury happened? It was down the Subi end and it appeared that the Port player kicked/tripped Andrew. As usual, the incompetent in white failed to see anything and not even a free kick was awarded. I will be interested to see whether or not it goes any further.

After watching it on Fox, it definately looked like a trip. A reflex action, although very slight, but it was still a trip.
Geez im not sure if we can beat the Roos now with Embers out of the side :D
Ok ok it's a bit harsh but he just refuses to fulfill his potential!
He's gone at the end of this season.
In the 4 seasons he's been with us, he's shown glimpses of what he can do, but unfortunately, he's really lost it this season.
Don't know where he'll be traded of for what, but he'll definetely be traded.
sensationalism at its best. i think that he would have been dropped for the rest of the season if he didn't get injured.

I bet he isn't, unless the other club desperately want him and we can put together a trade that gets us a really desired player. Clearly he's rated at the club.
As for the incident, I thought it was a very dangerous challenge that was technically a trip. Having said that, the conditions were awful and these things happen when the players are desperate.

Eddie would say you are a true professional VoR!
You should apply for a job at 6PR and kick fat George out! Does anyone else agree with me?

Woosha ain't the only one making decisions...
The rest of the coaching staff have an input as well and most of them have been watching Embley for the past few years.

I really don't know what to think.....
Embers has had a lot of time with the club and has potential stamped all over him. This season was the season where I think he was to come of age. He started well against the Violets and played a ripper there, but since then his form has wavered and he tends to do a lot of silly things too. He gets dumped back at Swan Districts, plays blinder after blinder, gets back into the side and falls apart again by making some dumb decisions when in possession with the ball.
If he is given more time, surely he must be on his last legs. If he is traded, I wish him the best, but somehow I feel he will never reach his "potential".

Embley doesn't have as much talent as some of you seem to think. He is an athlete, yes. But he lacks that natural football talent, which is why he has poor disposal and decision making.
Basically, he's like that tall athletic kid at school that was always considered the 'best' at sports, but looking back he in actual fact sucked at most skill sports but merely excelled at athletics.
Ok, so i have a grudge against this tall athletic kid i used to go to high school with...;)
Embleys not a bad player and could fulfill his potential, but not at the eagles
I think a change of environment may be whats needed for him to become a better player, and the eagles should try and get whatever they can out of a trade, draft etc for him
Would anyone really be upset if he got traded. Personally i wouldnt cry a river. But i would still like to see him fulfill his potential with WC. Not sure if he ever will though.
I dont even see any club picking up Embley; this years been a shocker for him and trade-wise, he wont be too sought after.
We might need to throw in a draft pick with him to get someone mid range to come to the club.

Which is why it wont be worth. Id rather take a punt on Embley finally turning the corner rather than losing a draft pick and bringing a mid range player to the club. That got us no where when we brought mid range players, Taylor, Prior, Seira and Harding to the club.
