I just thought it was odd that he accused West Coast of "tanking" after they got beaten by us.
I know I really shouldn't care what a second-rate coach thinks, but does Grant Thomas have a sort of Robert Walls-ish grudge against the boys from Windy Hill?

Don't know and don't care to be honest, unless he starts making valid statements where he can back them up, everytime he says something it will basically go from one ear and out the other...

Ignore Thomas, he is a bitter old man who says anything to get his name and opinions brought up.
WCE are not tanking, tanking is impossible in AFL.

I heard the radio commentary the other night. Right from the start of the game he was making suggestions that BOTH teams had packed it away for the year. He is a flog. I actually dead set thought it was Robert Walls until they said his name. His commentary all night was so negative, I felt like ring up to complain.

West Coast are not putting everything on the line........lets just say that!
But why would they?
They will bounce back pretty quickly with 3 draft picks in the first 20.

Thomas should just drop out of the whole media gig and retire to one of his local footy club and run for President. Then he could rule his own little football kingdom and nobody would have to hear his dull and dreary opinions.
Give it away Grant.

Like Hutchy said on Fotty Classified last night, why would WCE want to win? He also mentioned that at some stage, Cox and Glass will probably be "rested" due to their "injuries".
And I dont blame them really. In fact I wouldnt bee overly disappointed if we did the same. Having said that, I would rather see us win games and get the winning feeling back at the club. But in the long run, what would be better, a winning culture at the club, or Daniel Rich?
Thomas calls it how he see's it. I would not say he had a grudge against any side. I think he sometimes makes statements in the media that he knows will make headlines and keep his name in the spotlight a bit but he is consistant with his views and nothing at all like Walls who's opinion flip flops every week.
I think it was a fair enough call. If the Eagles where in the hunt for a spot in the 8 Kerr would have played. They are preparing for next year so winning games for them is not the number one priority.
Grant Thomas has a grudge against the football world. He always seems to be having a go at someone.

Good on Grant though. We need people who have an opinion in this day and age of censorship. We have seen in the past three week how Lloyd and Brown have got please explain letters from the AFL for speaking their mind. Players are afraid to say what they think nowdays, so we need some people who can express their opinion without getting a please explain. IMO we need more people like Grant Thomas.

Yep, until the media is gagged as well.

I don't think Grant Thomas has a grudge against anyone barring Rod Butterss. I actually enjoy Thomas' input.
WCE were "tanking" in a sense, they rested Kerr, Fletcher and Braun... not sure about Josh Kennedy, was he injured? Either way, with the first 3 I mentioned WCE probably would've won, instead of Welsh taking Priddis he would've taken Kerr... good luck!!!

No it isn't you clown.
It is very easy hence why most coaches and football related people are coming out and saying the system needs to be overhauled.

Do you think that people care about what Grant Thomas has to say. Ever since he got sacked from St.Kilda he has been a mess. I think that its time for Grant to get a job outside footy.
He needs to stop embarrassing himself
