I'm really starting to feel sorry for the guy. The Panel just seem to give him these Sympathy laughs through out the night... All his jokes are so staged and pre-meditated... It's not how a comedian should work...
Any thoughts?

Meh, he has his moments, but I hate how now days he rlies on clips and poctures to get him laughs.
'still' implies he once was.

If Sammy Newman comes back put Billy Brownless behind the bar!
That'll do the trick;)
No....I agree with above post...Billy and Sam together, minus Marmalade..

Still funny - but the show could use an injection of Eddie.

Yes and no. Some stuff can make me laugh out loud and get applause from the crowd. Others you can hear a pin drop after he makes it, not good when everything you're meant to say is meant to be funny and get people laughing. As Eddie Betts said, he's too reliant these days on clips and posters. Get him to do more one-liners, if he plays the role of the funny man, that way he's thinking of the jokes himself.

No, his jokes are crap. Sounds like the biggest try hard when doing them.
He was never funny to begin with.

He (Doug Hawkins) also wears thin after a very short while...would rather Trevor if had to pick out of two of them..

He continually steriotypes everyone. Its a bit old now.
most of the clips he uses have been used earlier in the week say on before the game or they are just old clips of you tube that were funny the first 100 times, he has had it..billy to the bar
