Rookie listed eagle Ashley Arrowsmith with another interview brought to you by Cougarnet, the website of Ash' grass roots club, East Keilor.

Heres the link to the article : http://eastkeilorfc.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=176&Itemid=1

(CP) Thanks Ash, that explains alot about mum (we still love ya Nicole)! West Coast picked you up in the rookie draft with their 2nd pick in the 2007 rookie draft. How have you enjoyed being part of the West Coast FC?
(AA) That is correct. Every aspect, from the training to the dieting, even the early morning runs during the preseason have been really exciting. With such a young group coming to training, even when we haven't had the success on the field, has been really enjoyable. When I wake in the morning I cant wait to get down to the club and be with the boys, share a few laughs and work hard on the track for hopefully one day it will pay off and eventually I will get to pull on the blue and gold.

Really down to earth bloke, for those in the know is he any closer to a senior call-up?

Ash sounds like a really great kid. Top article.

From what I have seen Ash has improve at Peel from East Freo. Really hope that he gets a new deal and further opportunities.

Doubt full that he will get a call up this year unless we lose Mckinley or LeCras with a season ender injury.
He is going ok in the WAFL and will be retained and probably elevated at the end of the year, To cover some delistings eg Armstrong and retirements of Braun and Wirra.
Hope that helps mate :thumbsu:

Thanks mate, thought it was very unlikely he would get a call-up this year given the age most Eagle rookies are called up. Nice to know he might be elevated come years end.
