It's a little slow and I've been thinking of this for a while!
Who's a fan of having the number of a player on? If you are a fan who would/do you have?
I am personally in two minds. First of all, you have to feel for all those walking around with #3 on right about now, I have even seen a few where it has obviously been ripped off. Then again, the jumper is supposed to have a number on, at times it just seems to look out of place there not being one.
The important questions being tackled here!

I voted no, just because I have no idea who I would put on right now!

I say YES, they just look funny without one! Having said that, only get one if you have a fave, or you think he'll go alright and be around for a while! :thumbsu:
So many people have changed their number 3 to number 8. So if you don't have a clear favourite then pick a number that can easily be changed into another. In case 'your guy' goes or you become embarassed to have his number on your back it's easily fixed! :p
Oh, and don't get a 'new' players number on your jumper in his first 2 years. They might either turn out to be complete hacks or they might change their number.
I have 32 on mine, the heat pressed ones from the team store. Looks perfectly fine. I think..

I've got a 17 on my old jumper (for Chick), but Kennedy isn't doing to badly so I'm not phased if ppl think I'm supporting him :thumbsu: I wouldn't mind getting a number 38 cos Jones is clearly my favourite player at the moment, Masten is gonna be right up there in coming years.

You see a lot of 38's at the footy.
Masten will probably have a different number soon, I think he has his eyes on a former brownlow medallist's jumper.
I have nothing on my three, although I think it looks better with one.
I would have had a 9, but now would probably get 23, the captains number and my birthdate so if anything happens with Glass can just say nah it's from my birth date. Easy.
But the problem with that is, when the player leaves or something happens you are screwed with needing a new guernsey. Such is life.

When I get my new jumper eventually if I was to get a number it'd be 25 or 30 (maybe 38... this I why I won't be getting a number, can't decide).
Hopefully we can see number 25 out there real soon again.
I have a guernsey from the mid 90's with the mans number on it! Number 24! Unfortunately, I can't wear it now cause everyone thinks I love Rosa! :D
I have 21 on mine.
Our Q-tility has a fan in the CaffMop.

I have one with 8 and another with 29 (was a match worn). Thinking of getting a 17.

I hope you guys are all under 18. You seriously should not wear numbered jumpers if you are older than that! You have to really wonder about 40 year olds who wear the jumper number of a guy half their age on their back! (IMO of course..:p)
My son has a new jumper and hasn't decided on a number for it yet. His old one has a 17 on it and the one before that 28, I guess those numbers are making a come back now. Luckily he never got sucked into the whole number 3 thing, a good judge of character I think.;)
Solve the problem of players possibly moving on etc a la Judd by getting the number of a past club legend on it... 30 for instance.

depends if the number is that sown on crap that your have on auskick jumpers or number that are printed in like the actual eagle jumpers.
I prefer clean but if i had the chance to have a proper 1 like the players i would take it.:)

pfft, rubbish to that! The amount of ppl I've seen over 18 with numbers on their soccer jumpers is astronomical. It's a bit more rare in AFL I'll give you that, but I don't feel ashamed wearing a number on my back and I'm 24 lol It's a bit weird to think I'm around the same age, if not older than most of the players now. When you're little they always seem sooo much older than ya. And when you get to the age, you still feel as if they're older than you in a way haha Perhaps it's cos we put them on such a pedestal.

In my defence, Hurn LOOKS older than me, even though he's a fair bit younger.
I got a number 1 on my jumper last year for MITCH BROWN, at the start i got alot of "who's number 1" and so forth.
Stenglein's a Champ!

#4 on one and #5 on the other. At the time they could be combined to form #45; Priddis.
Mine are heat pressed, but the real numbers look far better.
I may get myself a training guernsey with either another Lynch, a Masten, a Wirra and get just them to sign it.
Maybe a Glass.
On my current away guernsey, as I said, I have 21 heatpressed (the ones from the Eagles' team store) and the guernseys almost completely signed.
The number on the back has Lynch, Glass and Hansen's signature.
Masten signed in the Eagle crest, what a top bloke.

Keep it clean.
Numbers are ok but when Im at the footy i dont go looking at supporter Jumpers a say OH what number have they got on! the only time I stare at our own jumper on a supporter is if she is a total hottie and then its like soooo how you doin.;)
Other then that my eyes are on the field!
I have one with number 5 on, got it when we first got Stenglein because of him and also because it was my old number and my favourite number.
Got a number 18 on my other one for RoJo, so now I've had to adopt Ebert as my favourite player.

You need to have a number on your footy jumper.

Which i think is great.
