And damn I'm not the only Carlton/Celtics fan here, ASMS and Slinger are other two great Celtics fans here ...
HOT DAWG THIS IS JUST ABOUT THE BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE ...
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS ... WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS !!!!!!!!!!
I love this ball club, so much, I recall as I was the only kid following them in high school growing up in the grim 90's (the bulls and the Hornets were all the rage those days) but god, this victory tastes so sweet ...
I just have to post this pic ... Thinking Big paid off big time :D :D

Sounds like a hopeful St Kilda fan
I am going to buy a massive Cuban tonight and light her up in memory of Red. Go you good Green thing!
That one was for Red Auerbach..
I watched the game on the net and was amazed at the total domination, im a Bulls fan BTW.:( I think the Lakers would be kicking themselves after surrendering that 24 point lead in game 4 to lose..

Awesome........yet so damn inconsistent :(
Vujacic is the most frustrating player going around. When he's hot, he's really hot...but when he's cold, I'd probably prefer Shaq shooting from beyond the arc.

I'd still back Boston's bench against that Lot .. Posey, Eddie House, Big Baby, Leon Powe etc ...
Farmar, Walton and Vujacic really didn't have a very good series IMHO ..

this was a great year for Celtics fans. i think they were clearly the best team and the big 3 had ample motivation seeing they are all 30+ and had yet to taste championship success. the C's also got great contributions of the bench during the regular season and playoffs. I think the question is whether the motivation will be there next year? I hope it is b/c at their best i don't think they can be beaten. No other team has 3 all stars and the other players play their roles nicely.
I think the scary thing is that depsite the LA massacre in game 6 the Celtics never really clicked during the playoffs. For the first two rounds Allen was badly out of form and in the finals Garnett was well down until game 6. TBH i think they played their best ball it he first half of the year. It's a good thing for the rest of the league that the big 3 are now 30 + and not just entering their primes.
A mighty effort no doubt. Biggest single season turn around in NBA history. It's about time we raised a banner in the new building.
Hopefully theres some synergy with Carlton, Boston signed a marquee player in the off-season ( Garnett - Carlton Judd ). Boston had the biggest turn around ever ( if Carlton were to win it would be the biggest in AFL/VFL history ). Boston were stuck on 16 championships for a while and just clinched 17 ( We know what we are aiming for ).
I guy can dream can't he.:)

They had a terrible series which is a large part in why we lost - the bench was instrumental in getting us as far as we did.
Our bench is widely considered to be the best in the league.
Pffffft. Posey and Eddie house are veterans that won't be there within 2 years. Posey is my favourite player outside of LA but we both know that he's a journey man that will go wherever success is. House is average at best but had a good series.
Big Baby is nothing special and only got a few minutes in the finals series when Rivers knew the championship was done and dusted. Has a long way to go.
Powe has done nothing except for 1 good game where he torched us. Again, long way to go.
Our bench players performed consistently well throughout the season.

Nothing?
He's only in his 2nd year and he's already as good if not better than a Walton or Turiaf.

Been a long time since run TMC
indeed it has hence why it was so huge after a 14 year drought to make the playoffs last year. This year? Well we set a new NBA record for most wins(48) and NOT making the playoffs
Only the Warriors:(
