View Full Version : Only 11 players left from 02 and got rid of 16 since 06!

Guys and Girls
Was going through my old Eagle Eye Mags and started to realise that there were a lot of new faces every year so I did a tally
Since 02 we have had 31 players Leave WCE
Since 06 (the Golden Year) we have had 16 leave.

On average we have 6 players a year leave the club except for the last 2 years which we've had an average of 8.

So if you had to Delist/Trade/Retire 8 players from our Current list at the end of the year Who would they be and Who would replace them?

Braun(retire)- Ryan Davis(tagger)
Wirrapanda(retire)- S.Selwood(Defender/Midfield)
Fletcher(trade)- Jamie McNamara(midfieler)
Staker(trade)- Houlihan (HF/ Wing)
Graham(delist)- Callum Wilson( Defender/Forward)
Armstrong(Delist)- Arrowsmith(forward/Midfield)
Seaby(trade)- Sullivan( 3rd ruck behind Lynch)
Thomson(rookie list)

if it was 6 i would keep Wirra for another year and Staker as well!
Fletcher and Seaby have more trade value!:thumbsu:

He's slow, getting old and has questionable disposal, surely Fremantle would be desperate for him? ;)

With Wirrpandas form and his age this year I sure hope he continues on for another one or two seasons yet. I know it's been mentioned many times but sheesh, he's only 28 this year! He's been fantastic this year!

Has been (was regarded as our no1 tagger before Stenglien) and does play that role on occasions!

Well that's just wrong.

Guys like Rowan Jones, Drew Banfield and Joshy Wooden were the taggers before Steinglein came on board, it was a weakness that needed addressing at the time as the midfield was generally one way traffic. Braun has very rarely been used in a defensive role as it is easily the biggest weakness in his game and always has been.
