Hi folks.
I'm well aware that many of you have had a stint with the Gumbies in the SFA previously and have retired, so this is not for you :p

We've recruited some good people to the club this year and are looking forward to an even better season than last, when we finished 3rd. Get on board, it's going to be a good year to be a Gumby :D

lol ok. Basically the SFA is a competition based around a football sim game called qooty. There will be 10 teams, of which the Gumbies are one, and we put in a side of 20 players who are entered into the game, which is then simmed and results/stats come out at the end.
As a player, all you need to do is post and get involved with the team, and the game takes care of the rest. As certain positions in the game have more 'weight' than others, the more you post, the better position you get selected in for the team.

Heres an example...
In this game, the back pocket barely touches the ball, whereas the centreman will get 20-30 possessions a game on average. So basically if you post and get really involved, you will get selected in a good position, if you don't post, you get cast into the back pocket :D

It's good fun! I was in the forward pocket for the most of last season, and despite having single figure possessions for the majority of the games, I somehow managed to crack the top 15 for goalkicking in the league. :p
Hopefully this year I'll take out the SFA equivalent of the Coleman, since I've moved to FF. Just pass me the ball and I'll do the rest! :D
