Typical, Collingwood supporter, only thinking of myself and my club ;), but thinking about this week's game against the doggies. How does everyone think Wallace's quitting will affect the doggies performance this weekend? Considering they are only playing for pride and not a finals possie and the manner in which Wallace has left them, will they be pumped for it or will they roll over and bark for us?

I don't think it will inspire them to do anything special this week. Now they really have nothing to play for.

Terry Wallace is an ace coach and will get his boys right up for this one, finals or no finals. We need to find some form I reckon.

Collingwood vs Western Bulldogs
The Pies have a good record against the Doggies, winning 4 of the last 5 matches since the start of the 2000 season. This match will hinge on how the Doggies respond to Wallace's sudden resignation. For the players, forcing Wallace out before this week's match sends a clear statement to the football world. The Doggies are angry and are ready to play and will be desperate to win just to spite Wallace. Collingwood, on the other hand, are comfortable in 3rd spot on the ladder and apart from trying to keep their winning form going have no real incentive. The Western Bulldogs have played 2 matches at the MCG this season for a win against Richmond and a narrow loss to Melbourne by 12 points. Collingwood has played 12 matches at the MCG this season for 7 wins. Both teams have struggled in the last 3 weeks with just 1 win between them. For the Doggies this match is going to be very emotional and is the team's premiership match. Wallace's resignation is a slap in the face to the player group and I am sure that is how the players see it. By defeating Collingwood the Dogs regain some lost pride and question Wallace's judgement. By contrast the Pies will be content to play the loser of the Port Adelaide vs Brisbane Lions match interstate next week. Tipping the Western Bulldogs to have too much to play for in a watershed match for the club. (CRAP)

Western Bulldogs

This I found in the footyform guide. For all you doggie fans if they is no incentive for the PIES to win then I am a monkey's Uncle. We have ALOT to prove as we have been pretty low lately THIS we need to prove we are a contender in the finals not a pretender and it will be sooooo.....
