Does anyone have any figures as to how many members each SANFL club has?
There was an article on it at the end of last year, in the Advertiser, but I lost it...
Thanks

North have 1450
Personally I think they made a mistake it should be 14.50 members.
I dont think south are doing too good in that department http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/frown.gif

Yes I remember the article but recall it being just rough numbers. I'm not sure that clubs release the exact numbers - unlike the AFL but like you I'd be interested.
PS have south agreed to play the eagles at thebby in round 19? I heard a rumour that this may be on the cards.

I know Norwood have topped the 6 1/2 thousand mark this year..
They're doing pretty good..

Statistics regarding Glenelg membership:
99% of members live in King George Ave, Brighton.
Strange but true.

The problem with membership figures is that all clubs will release different numbers as they all have different types of membership. South's membership is over 1200 but in reality only about 900 of them can vote so that is a more accurate figure.
Would be interesting to know how many eligibe voting members there were at each club....I'm sure Port and Norwood would be a long way in front but I don't think South would look so poor in comparison to some other clubs....then again I might be completely wrong!! :-)

A few years ago Sturt overtook Port in terms of membership numbers (and crowd figures). To my knowledge Sturt still has the most.

Additionally, today's Tiser had a few words on the topic.
It claimed that North's membership is at 1530, about double what it was last year. It further stated that Norwood has about 1700 and Port about 2000.
