I personally believe its now a race in 3 between yourselves, hawthorn & geelong. Being the dogs you still don't get the same hype as the so called bigger clubs even though you are going aswell as you are, so i'd just like to know what sought of depth you have covering certain positions. We saw hawthorn last week have a monumental win with a pretty depleted side & we've seen geelong go pretty well with some injuries but this year after some very bad luck in previous you guys have had a reasonably good run. Your best is pretty close to theres no drama's there but could your 2nd tier players in the VFL produce the form those other 2 sides's can?

Our VFL side Williamstown is on top of the ladder. We have some good players that will be jostling for selection after the mid season break - West, Callan and Higgins in a few more weeks - arguably in our best 22. We also have a couple of talented kids in Harbrow, Hill (rising star nom), and we haven't even played our number one draft pick from last year - Grant. Other players that can step up if injury or need is required are Street, Tiller and Wight.

This is our Senior list (Rookies Excluded) put into positions that they have played. Including players that are yet to debut. From this a number off players can do duel roles and do in most games. I think looking at this we have depth in all areas.

The following could have some impact this year, and probably represent our depth for the short term better than others, and none of these guys have played in the last few weeks (except Tiller).
Harbrow, Jarrod
Higgins, Shaun
Hill, Josh,
Stack, Brennan
Tiller, Stephen
Wight, Cameron
Callan, Tim
Street, Peter

Peter Street I think still has a part to play this year, particularly if we lock in a top four spot early in the piece, and Eade needs to try him out as he is on the record as saying he probably deserves a spot due to form in the two's.

He also wanted to try out Stack at some stage.

The rest could easily fill a position but I think the most important thing is we have have a CHB cover in Wight and a ruck cover in Street.

The only players I can see fitting into our 22 at this stage are Higgens and Callan, but that will only come about if injuries play a part (otherwise form, obviously).

So our depth is quite good, and I haven't mentioned West at this stage!! If we can insure Lake stays away from injury, then I think we should be able to cover most positions in the back half and through the middle. Our depth in goal kickers shouldn't pose a problem either.

I heard Rocket interviewed last week where he said Stack is extremely close to selection and he is keen to play him.

Wouldn't surprise me if he debuts soon. :)
