One drags you over the line in a Grand Final and the other drags you through the gates to watch him play.
For me an easy decision. Matthews.
NB: I loved watching Matthews play also.

Most voting wouldn't have seen Matthews play, whether voting for him, or agin him.
If you're not in a position to judge don't vote. I'd be very surprised if Ablett would win this poll if it was voted upon merit, ie, those voting saw enough of both.

Leigh Mathews remains the greatest ever player........... pretty simple really.

Matthews is the greatest ever player, period.
Ablett miles behind.
You need to be 35 years old plus to remember or have seen enough of both. Lethal as Ablett couldn't get the Cats a flag, Leigh had leadership where as with Ablett he was all about himself.
