GEELONG young guns, Joel Selwood and Matthew Stokes, are a very realistic chance to miss their team’s clash with West Coast tomorrow afternoon, it has been reported on SEN.
Both are required to pass a fitness test prior to taking a seat on the plane to Perth that is expected to leave within the hour.
As of yet, neither player has appeared at the airport with the rest of the team.
Emergencies listed for the game are Ryan Gamble, David Wojcinski, and Kane Tenace.

My Dream team is in trouble if that's true. As for the match, we'll still win.

Can't help but feel a little spoilt when the replacements are Gamble and Wojcinski:D:thumbsu:.

I already feel upset when Selwood isnt named in th team.
He is a gun. My second or thrid favourite player.
Whats wrong with him?
Shame. I wanted to see Selwood v Selwood. I think this is a dangerous game for the Cats..dont write us off at home.

As a supporter of a recent premiership winning team you would know all games are dangerous, as everyone lifts that little bit extra to "test themselves against the best".

Nope - mentioned in this article about N.Ablett - http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/nathan-ablett-considering-cats-comeback/2008/06/20/1213770885893.html
Sounds like if they pass the fitness tests they will fly over.

i agree this is a very dangerous game for us...we might get caught off guard.
the Weagles have been bagged a hell of a lot since the essendon game and will be breathing fire make no mistake...plus some very handy ins for them. would be a massive blow without those two and i dont think Gamble or Tenace would adequately cover their loss.

Was just announced on Sky new sports that both passed fitness tests although I don't know if they made the flight or are going on a later one.

Sweet.
Selwood ripped it against Freo @ Subi.
Hope he does again...
Travelling on a later flight.

No they didn't. There are later flights, but you would have expected them to pass the fitness test in the morning then fly out. So it is surprising. I doubt them getting on a plane tomorrow morn for the game, if they aren't a later flight tonight they aren't playing.
Would be interesting if Gamble and any other emergency boarded the flight.
