I'm guaranteed this year for the first time ever, but i have always thought about if we made it and i didn't get a ticket off the club what i would have to do to get one. I am 29 and have barracked for the dogs since i was 3. One sister and mum barrack for South Melbourne, now Sydney, one brother for Carlton, one brother for collingwood and the other for Geelong. My dad did barrack for Carlton but you would now call him a Bulldogs supporter as he used to take me to Whitten oval to watch us play so he has got a massive soft spot for us and is now a member himself.
So the question is
How far would you go to get your hands on a Grand Final ticket?
My piggy bank would take a huge smacking.
What would you take for your ticket?

I'm guaranteed a ticket with my afl membership but i had an idea the other day.
This may sound low/horrible/outrages/unfair/pathetic but think of it being this or not going at all. Not sure if it could work but it would be worth a go.
Here it is..
The MCG has disable designated wheel chair areas/seats. I would go as low as purchasing a wheel chair area ticket and rocking up to the game in a wheel chair. I'll be allowed one person accompanied with me as they have a single seat next to the section.
It would be a dogs act but other then paying big buck$ for a ticket when maybe the funds aren't avaliable it could work?

It may look a tad sus when you're jumping up and down like a maniac when 'Sons of the West' is blaring after we win.
Although you could always say that seeing them win has healed you??

I'd happily go to jail for what I'd do to some neutral corporate tagalong who hasn't been to a game for years but got given a free ticket for the Grand Final. :p
I'm guaranteed a ticket too so have no need to worry about the consequences of handing out an ultra-violent beating at some poor innocent freeloader's expense ;)

I know this is a Dogs board thread, but how far I would go now to see Sydney at the GF. Couldn't make it to 2005 because my grandfather had died and my mother had to go overseas, and I was pretty young, but now I have no excuse, really.
The real question is, what wouldn't you do? :p

I'm only 19 but i reckon i'd put down $500 at most for a good general admission seat. You never know when the doggies are going to be in the grand final so i'd really like to see them play.

I have a friend who works for the Kangaroos and gets access to two GF tickets every year. They cost about $120 but I would gladly hand the cash over if I couldn't get a ticket through my membership.

I would sell my first born - she'd have to be worth $10,000

Classic!
Reminds me of Eddie Murphy in Trading Places.
