Was just having a look at this wikipedia page on the Grogan Medal:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grogan_Medal

It says the 1997 winner was J Brennan, and the link is to Jared Brennan's wiki page. Now that would've made him 13 at the time. :)

Does anyone know if it actually was a J Brennan who was the winner, as obviously it wasn't really Jared?

Is Owen Backwell related to Brett Backwell who played a few games for Carlton? I remember he was recruited from Queensland and I thought he had a lot going for him, but unfortunately he never made it.

It would be great to see Mouse come back to QLD in a couple of years and follow in his father's footsteps and win a Grogan Medal. If he was able to that would give him a Liston, Magarey and Grogan. As a house mate, he makes a great footballer!
