Considering the big money Wallace was apparently making at the Bulldogs, does this mean that by going for a rookie coach the Dogs might free up some cashflow for the recruitment of players?
Who here would prefer the club to channel all of this money into a new coach - say, an established person such as Eade for instance?
The equation might be something like this for 2003:
1. Appoint Eade as coach, recruit someone like Steven Sziller from the Tiges.
2. Appoint Mark Harvey as coach, recruit someone like Scarlett from the Cats.
3. Appoint Dougie Hawkins as coach, sign Neitz, Buckley and Jonathon Brown.
Or will our options be limited by having to satisfy creditors, as usual?
