Gotta love the kid. Absolute gem of draft pick and people were wondering why he was back in the side after not doing much down in Willy. Well he showed why today.

In-deed.
Absolutely. First game he has shown that poise that made you hope he has the ball.

Are you guys serious?
I was at the game tonight and don't get me wrong I'm a massive wrap for skinny, but his disposal tonight was shocking. Some of his turnovers in the first half were dreadful. Sure he improved in the second half but to say he showed why he was given the no.3 tonight, is a disgrace. He is a big part of our future but tonight's performance was below par!

I agree with you, his second half was a lot better than his first.
But he still had a disposal efficiency of the game of 72% and the teams average was 70%.
Imporving with every game - might come in handy depending on how Williams is
Was fantastic today. Was showing a lot of leadership at times as well. Covering for other players, directing traffic and even tapping a few players on the bum after they made an error.

Did you actually watch the game? He was terrible tonight! I might come across as a bit of a basher on young skinny but i can't believe what some of you are saying after his game tonight!

Christ, you're not having a good night Coons.
I reckon you must have been at the wrong game because you have bashed two of the players that everyone if heaping praise on from todays game .. EVERITT AND RAY.
Are you sure you weren' at the MCG?

Ha. You go back and watch the game and watch both of these boys disposal. All I'm saying is that Everitt's game is not as good as everyone is saying. His disposal in the first half was deplorable. While Ray's decision making was terrible, he looks lost when he has the ball, although he did improve in the second half.

Far be it for me to disagree with your judgement Coons but the match stats don't do you any favours.
He had a disposal efficiency of 72%(higher than the team average of 70%) and he had no clangers registered to his name(in fairness to you I can remember one of his kicks that may have qualified as a clanger).
His stats suggest his disposal was extremely efficient over the game entirety
I bet Coons17 has just got Everitt confused with Williams or something and merged both games into one as they look similar

Everitt and Ray provided great run, was happy about that aspect. We weren't at the top of our game, but those two were far from hopeless.
Makes the choice easier as to who Callan should/will come in for. I had three players in the mix before today (Everitt and Addison were two of them), but now it's clear-cut for mine - Callan Ward. If Williams is out for a week, then he'll go out for Callan, if not, then it unfortunately has to be Ward.

thought skinny played well. ray worked hard but he tends to hatch the ball and needs to do some jandball practice - the number of handballs aimed at peoples knees.
both of these guys have half plaenty of games to get into the rythym.

No no im no fair weather supporter. I'm not getting my boys mixed up, look maybe im wrong but just from my point of view i thought his disposal was poor. Watch the replay this week and watch his disposal in the first half.

Everitt played a great game. I was there, I dont know what the hell you're on about Coons17. Thought it was his best easily.

He won about 80% of his contested situation balls and in all honesty is much better then what I thought. He also has a great kick and football smarts :thumbsu:
Happy with both Ray and Everitt.
Skinny's just easing back into it after some time off and I reckon he got it all together tonight.
Some errors but he did more good than bad.

did i watch the same game as you it is 22nd of June right?

Just watching the replay now - he kicked it to Gia [great mark] -> pass to Murph -> GOAL!! Also set up another earlier. Healy says he is more than solid - he's a gun recruit. :thumbsu:
The whole team were better in the second half.

i agree,
yeah ward will go back for a spell at willy, he's had a little taste and now he can apply himself at willy and learn from his experience, and get that body bigger for next season where he can expect to play a lot more football in the dogs. The pies really tried to single him a out a little yesterday, they bumped into him and dumped him at every chance.
on everitt, i thought it was the first time this year that he has shown any of his ability from last year. He had a dreadfull pre-season, got injured and has looked slow and unfit since. He's still no way near his best but it's pleasing to see a little bit of his talents.
Ray was a solid contributor, i'd never back his kicking and decision making, especially his left foot but he has a red hot crack and gets the ball.

I thought Everitt really stepped up in the 2nd half and that he and Minson were two players that really got the momemtum swinging back our way. Skinny had 3 passages of play in a row where he worked hard to positin, won the footy, disposed correctly and I think we goaled from at least one. Up to that point in the game we'd not sen any of that sort of play from the side.
He's shown a bit more each week as he settles back into the side. I think he's a valuable contributor and really stepped up under some pressure which is a good trait for a young guy.
