Wells best game is better than batemans but i think bateman is more consistent. Obviously bateman is several years older too.

I wouldn't go that far. Bateman's best has been extremely good this season. Nearing elite.

The funny thing is that Daniel Wells as a footballer is actually rather underrated for what he produces, but is playing seriously below his potential.
By that I mean....if you saw Wells play, and you'd never seen or heard of him (or that he was a number 2 pick), you'd think that he was very good.
However, the sad fact is that Wells could be playing MUCH better than he is now, and if he played to full potential, could easily be elite.
It's a shame though, that injuries have meant he's struggled to find consistancy. Twice this year, he's been cut down by injuries, in matches that he may have been BOG in (Dogs- when he was on 18 possies in the 2nd quarter- and even yesterday where he practically missed the first quarter, but still got 25.) He uses the ball very well.
However, Bateman's best probebly wouldn't reach that of Daniel Wells. Bateman is more consistant and we could probebly use him more in our midfield.
All Roos supporters hold hope, that Daniel will develop a streak of arrogance and take the game by the pills and really go with it. If you look at his form last year, prior to being injured, he was 4th in the Brownlow, at 7 rounds. Not a bad effort.
Every year, a very talented player pushes on, and becomes elite.
In 07 it was Bartel
This year is was Cooney
All Roos fans pray that in 09 it's Wells.

interesting u make this poll as i know both the lads personally
very different players and blokes
changa bate this boy runs all day works extremely hard for his team mates
very consistent performer nowadays
i think master bateman is also a couple years younger then wells (can someone postup some stats)
danny wells freak talent theres no denying that
goes missing more often and sometimes lazy
can tear u to shreds and win the game single handedly as a docker supporter i have seen this way to often :upset:
also i think he has still A LOT of room for improvement
i would love either of them at the dockers but if u made me pick one of them i would have to go with wellsy
just for the player that he can still become
changa bate is fantastic but wellsys glass ceiling is about twice as high

I enjoy watching Wells and he's a smooth mover and all that, just doesn't do it enough. Batman's been excellent this year. That's right, Batman.

Bateman but Wells could be well in front in 2-3 years time.

Wow props to you mate, a non North supporter that still has faith in his ability. Haven't seen anyone admit that in a fair while.
Props. I don't know about everyone else but I'm seeing some very good signs from him.

Bateman but Wells could be well in front in 2-3 years time.I agree with this too. He has the potential to be a superstar but at the moment is way too inconsistent. He reminds me of Shaun Burgoyne in that regard.

Fair call ; despite missing Saturday, I think Bateman has had fewer injury concerns so far. (That hairdo is a shocker though).
Ever notice the sound of a car backfiring sounds suspiciously similar to the sound of a gun going off?
Really makes ya think...
