Apparantly the hammys fine and he was just kept out with back spasms. Should play this weekend.
Speaking of Lenny, how good has he been this season? One of the few players giving 100% and playing anywhere near their best. Anyone else reckon he could be a chance for All-Australian selection?

Lyon suggested that had the match been a GF - Hayes would have gone back on and played
It was called a back-related hamstring tightness and it was suggested that his benching was preventative - so that he can play next week.
I'm sure this all has to be subject to the PET scan on Monday morning.

superb pressure by hayes during the first quarter. While he was playing, St Kilda really looked like a great team but once he was off... well, the team struggled but ball and harvs were both up to the task,
hats off to riewoldt, playing the richo role!
without a doubt my favourite player.. i had a lump in my throat after the game when he ran onto the ground to celebrate and congratulate our guys..
what a champion.

Having a great year, but wont be AA because of the Saints position on the ladder.
Midfielders from Hawthorn, Geelong, Bulldogs and Crows will be considered ahead of Haysie.

How was that tackle on Rhys Palmer?
Lenny just loves smashing blokes (fairly in tackles, with a shoulder etc)

Any news on the great man? Would hate to see him miss as he is the heart and sole of your club, plus i need him for my dreamteam!

Hmm good point. Ablett, Cooney, Black and Thompson are the only mids who come to mind who would definitely be ahead of him so far, but knowing the AA committee he won't even make the 40 man squad whilst the entire starting midfield of Geelong, Hawks and Dogs get in. Then again they also have a tendency to make room for extra mids by putting them on the forward and back flanks, so there's hope yet.

Good choice, and also with your profile picture (it's a winter game and good to see she is keeping warm with gloves).
But it wouldn't have anything to do with Lenny being from NSW, would it???

Hey Knackers - so you are denouncing the Swans?
You're on the Saints board with a Sydney moniker - potentially an identity crisis?

Easily my favourite player in the AFL and a champion bloke to boot. The way he approaches his footy no frills heads down arse up attitude is what makes him what he is. not hard to tell who he modelled himself on at the club. Will never be a glamour player but you will always know what you get with him:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
it was interesting to hear that lenny originally thought he was going to be picked by the swans in the draft but instead they picked ryan "fitsy" fitsgerald.. and left him for the saints to snap up..

Good to see Leonard back in action tonight. Had a real impact on the game i thought with his clearances and hard tackling :thumbsu:
How's that tackle he did in the last quarter on the flank where he dived past the bloke sheparding and smashed the Carlton ball carrier into the turf! Almost blew my load. What a human.

It occured to me this morning. In Latin the word for "trade" is also the same root-word for a "traditor", which literally means "giving up something precious." So somebody who gives up, especially something precious is called a traditor - and from that term we get the English word "traitor."
Hmmm... Giving up, trading something precious, traitor... hmmm...
