She doesn't have the faintest idea. She would have been lucky to have watched you blokes once. She knows Tredrea hasn't been ripping the comp apart, he is the wrong side of 28 and she can't look deep enough to ask pertinant questions re the coach.

Did anyone see Bowden's 'highlight package'? It was eight uncontested marks in the backline. What a superstar he is.

As an outside supporter it was a pretty stupid comment from Caro, watched alot of Port games this year and Tredders has been pretty good, averaged just under 2 goals a game, just seems to have less of an impact after halftime (most likely due to fitness issues) but he takes one of the best defenders each week and is making a solid contrubution

FWIW I'd second all that. There used to be something in the mythical rules around here about respect, but the line does seem to be crossed, and regularly, when the subject is a woman.

Caro however is nothing more than a gutter trash journalist who specialies in gossip columnist type bullshit and when it comes to actually reviewing the sport shes got no clue at all.

As I just wrote in a post that has disappeared, M19, I've got no sympathy for Wilson's ignorant comments about Tredrea. Thundercloud's post, and mine, were about the nasty personalisation that Wilson routinely cops from too many people who disagree with her.

I've got no idea what the rules are around here these days, and really am not interested in reporting posts unless they're fairly egregious examples of bigotry that doesn't directly affect me -- some of the racism and homophobia, maybe. (Just thinking of the children.:)) If it's sexism, I can post my thoughts without running to the mods.

Caro is good at spolitics ie sports politics. I read her stuff on what is going on within the AFL and the odd Melbourne club in respect to power plays and political machinations. I enjoy her stuff on that. But if you spent time on these boards in October and November and particularly the North board you would have seen that at times she is a mouth piece for the AFL and just regurgitates their line. I have very little respect for those actions she took. She was sucking up to them because she knew there was a pay off later in time.

I have no respect for her ability to analyse what happens on the field. She is pathetic at it, not because she is a women but it's because she has no idea. There are plenty of blokes in the media, both ex players and journo's who have equally no idea, so I have no respect for them either.

What really bugs me and why I probably bag her for having a women's point of view is all the moralistic crap she goes on about. She looks for gutter trash stuff and goes on about it. Her condescending, "well I don't like it" as if she speaks for ever women and in particular ever mother who has sons who play the game bugs me at times.

Well said. I'd just about cut and pasted Thundercloud and Sandolas posts for a similar post.

I also have no issues with women in football, unless they are clueless and hold their part due to tokenism. If Caro was a bloke she'd be lucky to be writing the 4 line match report on the Roxby Downs Thirds for the local weekly newspaper. But hey, I also hate Robert Walls but like Mike Sheahan......
