I know it's a bit early but thought everyone would be interested to hear this:

All-Australian captain Andrew McLeod will also miss three to four weeks after undergoing surgery on his right knee on Monday night.

McLeod, who is just four games-shy of the 300 milestone, is expected to resume running in two weeks. (http://afl.com.au/tabid/208/Default.aspx?newsid=62082)

Never like to hear of people getting injured (especially players like McLeod) and I prefer to play teams with all their best players, but this certainly helps our chances...

Agreed, you want to play the best so they can't say, but....but....but like the Pies. Especially when mentioning McLeod, the guy is a star, you'd want your team to play guys like this.

Will be a big advantage for us, one less runner from the back half.

It probably would have been better for us to have him playing. He's been snot for at least a month. Symes (who I'm assuming will come in for him) would be more to cover than a struggling injured McLeod.

Nathan Basset was cleared of striking Jed Adcock, so McLeod's the only confirmed out for Adelaide so far. That right?

I mite be wrong but i thought i heard that bassett got off. That is rediculous if true ( as bad as my spelling me thinks). Also, purple monkey dishwasher.

Isn't this the game we usually lose?

It sure is. And, as noted, coming straight off the kind of break we usually waste...

Bassett cleared and rightly so.

Maric is in a little bit of doubt with a knee problem and Hentschel will not be coming in as he has sprained his ankle and is out for 3.

At this stage my predicted changes are:

IN: Symes
OUT: Mcleod

Could see Griffin, Massie or even Dangerfield come in and could see Jericho & Maric out. Game is too far away to tell just yet.

Cats should win this one by a couple of goals I think but I still hold out hope that we'll somehow find a way to beat you. Almost mission impossible though :(

Would love to see Dangerfield get a game against the cats. Will be a star of the future.

Will be good to see us pitted against a midfield with mature bodied players who hit in hard. Last couple of weeks it has been "no contest" at the contest.

Sad for McLeod so close to his 300th...has been well down this year because of the knee.

Its pity the result cannot be decided in this forum and not on the field ! :p

We are hoping you guys are still in holiday mode when you play us.

You guys are very good team but I honestly believe the Eagles are trying to get the first or definitely second draft choice.

I thought the result flattered you guys. I still think you would have won by a big margin, but not that margin !

I saw the odds today

cats 1.15

crows 5.00

Five dollars?? thats crazy, in adelaide, a place where the cats have the worst record. Be worth a punt but i cant bring myself to put money against the pussycats.

Plus were rad

the 1-39 margin is paying 5.75

Hmmm surely is worth a few dollars.

Its not like Adelaide are bad team but rather Geelong are a very good team.

Only needs Geelong to be off the boil and we are half a chance.

we just played the game we usually lose but I think with stokes and scarlo back in we should win.
