The players i believe most important and able to make the greatest impact in guiding their respective sides to the flag
Steven and Matt Dunne: Irrawarra
Onballers
If irrawarra are to get up and win the Premiership this season the Dunne brothers will have to play an important part. Matt gets best most weeks for the bombers while his brother Steven is perhaps the more Dangerous of the 2. Both players able to rack up plenty of the ball inside and out while also being able to push forward and kick vital goals.
Jayden Bath: Irrawarra
Wing
Happys Dad has earmarked this young player has one to watch out for as we come to the business end of the season. Since making the switch from the forward pocket to the wing in recent weeks he has come on in leaps and bounds and been a very important part in Irrawarras recent success. Strong mark and good kicking penetration, although opposite foot needs work.
Mitchell Williamson: Alvie
CHB/onballer
Alvies most reliable defender, rarely gets beaten and does his job week in week out. A great reader of the play whilst provides great run from defence and with great vision and excellent kicking skills rarely misses a target.
Harley Davies: Lorne
FF/CHF/Onballer
One of the premier players of the competition. Whilst he plays senior football with lorne he is the most important player for lornes junior sides push for the finals by a long long way. Lorne cannot make a serious push for the finals without him. With great size and skill he is able to dominate games like not many others can.
Daniel Allan: Alvie
Rover
Most likely winning the league best and fairest at this stage of the season. Alvies premier midfielder who is unrivalled in this league in his ability to win his own footy. Racks up huge numbers each week whilst thowing himself into packs and getting scragged.
Shaun Lenaghan: Alvie
Onballer
Another Alvie onballer capable of racking up a large number of possessions. Running type with large engine has blossomed since being introduced to the midfield.
Tim Speirs: South Colac
Onballer
If south Colac are to make the finals, Speirs will have to get them there, they are a completely different side with him in it. Whilst playing seniors he has dropped back and played under 17s on a number of occassions. Capable of winning his own footy and disposing of it efficently by hand and foot.
Matt Uwland and Brad Salmon: Simpson
Onballers
Like speirs simpson will not make finals if these two dont play a major role. Both have played seniors most of the year while have been dropped and have played juniors in recent weeks. With Uwland being a hard at it in and under type and salmon being a talll marking type they complement each other well and will ensure simpson can be a finals contender.
Dylan Lowe: Alvie
CHB/CHF/Ruck
In my opinion the premier big man in the competition. Can dominate games from CHF with strong marking power, can provide great run from defense from CHB whilst being able to dominate the hitouts in the ruck. A great reader of the play with a huge engine.
Chris Hickey: Alvie
HFF
Mobile forward with a raking left foot. THE the most dominant player in the competition who doesnt lack self confidence. Has been right up there in the league goal kicking in recent seasons and it is no different this year. With an eye for goals he is perhaps Alvies most important player. Has been touted by many as the most talented junior they have ever seen. A very realistic chance of being the first player chosen in this years draft.
Cheers
