couldnt look at the opponent without giving a free tonight, it was shocking. Been worse since the report in my opinion. Bad Buddy?

There were numerous times where he was given a free kick against when it wasn't there, and when he deserved a free kick it wasn't payed.
Quicker to pin a free kick against Franklin than any other player in the leauge.
He gets shit all.

I found he used to be able to get away with a little-bit, nowdays after the backlash he gets no breathing space from the umpires.

Yes, but most of those were there.
He has a bad habit of placing his hands on his opponent's back. Needs to work on that.

It seems to me that self attention seeking umpires cannot blow the whistle quickly enough to infract Buddy. That stupid tiggy-touch-wood ladies netball rule is taking some of the games biggest names out of the limelight.
Star forwards of yesteryear of the ilk of Huddo and Jase would not have had their illustrious careers if that rule was in place in their days. The AFL really should look at the stupidity of allowing the umpires board to introduce such a rule that give soft frees .... it has the umps with too much whistle, taking excitement out of the game.
Allow Buddy and his ilk be their brilliant selves.

Agree completely.
All the frees against him looked reasonably fair to me

Agree with that. He's been getting away with hands in the back for ages. He needs to play more to his strengths. When he just one-out contests he usually wins.

They were appauling and as a result Buddy could have scored another 3 goals..

My main complaint wasn't the ones he gave, it was the ones he didn't receive. He was getting mugged in the contest. Glass would latch on to one of his arms every time the ball game in, and yet he didn't get a single free all night. I've never seen anything quite like it.

Have to agree, but it stems to the whole team, I saw Roughie mauled a couple times and Hodge was clearly held in the centre in the first or second quarter and play on was called... Mitch wore a few riders as well but no in the back called...
The only thing they seem to let us get away with now is Buddy in a tackle when the guy is holding buddy's shirt - he's getting away with 360s before dishing off... but that's about it.
It's getting frustrating - I seriously think it's time Hawthorn issue a please explain to the umpires.

Buddy has to stop the habit of putting his hands in the back of opponents, but the umpires are clearly trying to cut him down to size because they, and other football club supporters, see him getting too big for his boots; typical tall poppy syndrome.
Umpires are attention seeking maggots that need to keep there ego at the door before they walk on the field. Being miked up just perpetuates this, they need to be seen and not heard.
Hawthorn have an obligation to send a official "please explain" to the AFL, this trend against us is growing with each game.

He has a bad habit of placing his hands on his opponent's back. Needs to work on that. Yep, totally agree.

Yeah I agree with this. They are very quick to penalise him if he tries to tackle and his hand touches the shoulder, but when identical infringements occur against him they seem not to notice.
However I am afraid we will have to get used to it. Hawthorn, and Buddy in particular, are not the flavour of the month with the AFL or the media at the moment. We all know why that is and we cannot claim to be entirely innocent so we just have to keep our noses clean and do our best until they find another target and treat us equally again.
umpires hate this bloke always quick to pay free kicks against him

The only forward in the league that just cant get free kicks for. The amount of times his jumper was pulled into the southern stand was ridiculous. 3 people go up in his contest too, only 1 has eyes for the ball.
Clarkson should take Buddy and go see the umpires bloke. This is getting beyond a joke.

The frees he gave away were there, but also agree that he doesn't get much love from the umps
Suck it up though, 14 rounds and we have only won the free kick count in three games. Apparently that's what happens when you play unsociable football

Sometimes they were hands in the side, should not be a free.
In the AFL's perfect world all defenders will run around backwards.
