Just a few thoughts:
1. Roughead - 3 votes. Best game I've seen him play. Yes I know it was against west coast but I love seeing this guy get rewarded for his hard work. Often took marks against 2 or 3 opponents.
2. Buddy's lack of umpiring favours. He should change his name to Lance Lloyd. He'd have 100 goals by now.
3. We seemed to try our young blokes through the middle a LOT. Renouf, Ellis, Morton with 1 experienced bloke. No coincidence that when we whacked Mitch, Hodge and Campbell in there the game opened right up. Clarko treated this game with a bit of experimentation.
4. CROAD! That was the performance of an AA defender. Dominated that end of the ground. Has an intensity about him this season that I've never seen.
5. Injuries. This shits me.
6. Renouf - bit of mongrel about him. Looks like that guy from American Pie. Can seriously play!!! Pity he'll be suspended because he was just starting to look comfortable around the ground. Struggled in the taps against Cox, but most people do.
7. Ozzie - VERY damaging with his disposal. NEVER chips around, ALWAYS looks to run and create. I want this guy to have the ball 25 times every match.
8. Skills looked awful, over-handballed.
That's all for now, what do you guys think?

Pretty accurate LP imo. :thumbsu:
Roughie was the key - his contested marking is one of his strengths. Now if only he could improve his kicking
Buddy was pinged 4 times for pushing. He needs to work on this
You are right about the centre rotations. We struggled for a period because of them.
Croad was terrific for first game back.
I liked Renoufs game, the kid can play
Ozzie was excellent - has turned into a very good player

in all honest, Buddy does have a habit of pushing. I wish he'd cut this out of his game :o

Ozzie killed it last night, no-nonsense chip, chip crap broke lines and went straight through the middle! I wish our whole team played like that last night.
Roughy has shown what he can do if Buddy wasn't around. Great game from 'roughnut'.
Croad was our most impressive for mine - it could have been a different result against the roos if he'd been last week.

I wish the umpires would be consistent. Buddy is sgragged, shoved and held in every marking contest. The moment he does the same thing, he is pinged for it. It's not so much that the ones against him weren't there. It's that he's being robbed of 4-5 free kicks a game when the exact same thing happens to him. Time for someone to have a word with the Geish.

This is a good summary.
The new marking contest rules should favour a bloke like buddy that people have to scrag on to beat (on a account of his ridiculous reach). He gets NOTHING.

Umpires simply can't believe Buddy can do what he does and it be legal.
I'm actually serious.

The dual nut punchers - Hunter (____ wit) and Kerr (criminal scum) are gutless ______s who probably blow one another in the West Coast showers.
Hanson would have to be the softest marshmellow to ever pull on a guernsey
Hawks too tough when it counted...West Coast soft around the edges
suck shit West Coast you SUCK!

Ha ha, I love it.
I was in the Hawthorn Family area, surrounded by my own family, and it was a challenge to find non-profanities to describe Hunter. The best I could do was "scumbag" and "gutless thug" ;)
I wanted someone to stick a knee into his face ...

Rioli in there also. Wasn't a pretty match, but i guess he was experimenting a little. :thumbsu:
I was happy we won.We weren't able to use the bench much because of injuries so we did well.Standard a bit of a worry.Big test next month after break.Croady's marks were great.Roughie and Buddy worked well together,Ozzie's having a great year and Renouf is a goodie.Cheers

he was talking about the last 3 weeks. We've been rotating younger players through the center. :)
