1st Q against Collingwood against Hogan. Should be ok, more a push than anything.

Agree with you Rusty. Should be OK. Push with the forearm to chest which slid up to next with minimal force. Unlucky to have kick reversed.

weak, he will get off

just adds to how great the umpires are doing their job, pathetic performance by the men in orange, few free goals given to the pies, hoding the ball is red hot if not white hot

How's he playing?

Absolutely nothing in it. It happened right in front of me. Thorp got up off the ground after a strong mark and wrestled his arms free from the guy in front of him and just clipped him with an elbow. No intent at all, no force at all. I am amazed the free kick was even given, however considering the rest of the horrendous umpiring for the match it wasn't in the top 10 stinkers of the day.

Weak free kick, weak report.

I was on the hill in front of the clubhouse and had a good view of the "incident." It was almost as if the umpire was trying to impose himself on the game. The report was a joke and will be thrown out.

He should receive an apology if anything. Thats the first time I've seen Thorpe play, and he strikes me as someone who will have to deal with his fair share of reports. Likes to throw his weight around a bit.

The umpiring was disgusting in that game though, i think they were all Collingwood supporters.....some of those decisions in the last qtr were laughable...

Number 17 was a stinker, and he copped it after the game walking up to the rooms.

Sure, he was young and looked like he was about the same age as the number on his back, but if you are going to pull as many pathetic decisions as that out of your crack you should not be near VFL level.
