Whose run will Gus be trying to curtail? I think there's still some doubt over McPharlin (or there was on Friday on the Freo board), and I think Hayden may have to play tall on a Neagle or a Lloyd. Would he be trying to tag Mundy?

Another point which was raised on the Freo board is Sandilands going forward. If that happens, I'd like to see Paddy move from Tarrant to Pavlich, Fletch from Pavlich to Sandlilands, and NLM to Tarrant. That frees Hille up to unleash havoc further up the ground.

Also, I'd like to see Myers on Palmer, but I think that's something Sheeds would have done rather than Knighter. Maybe Welsh to him, but Bell is another candidate. Their midfield doesn't really have a standout to be targetted like Hawthorn, West Coast and Carlton had for Welsh.

Still pretty confident about this one. We're simply a better team, in better form. Dons by 27.

I'd perfer to see Gus not following nor tagging but playing his own game as he did last week. In any event our forward line is tall and Gus is needed at the fall of the ball, as is any other mid. Also I'd like to back Gus' form last week to consolidate things for him. It is worht the investment and changable at worst.

The Myers palmer thing is a classic and would love to see it. Palmer may get more of the ball but Myers will do VERY well off his lack of defensive play and contribute more in set ups. If it plays that way then it leaves Reimers on Solly which is just a bad day for the tribunal but a great day for the spectacule.

David Hille for mine is the key. We already owe this fella alot. He has to maintain his sensational form not only to cover our lack of a second ruckman but also Sandilands inevitable presence and tap work. This is the one day Lazycock could stand up for contributions. Last week really didn't really warrant another run for this bloke but how do you support hille???? We need to consider this going forward.

If Jay gets his 10-14 possessions I am sure there are 2-3 goals in it but it is Matty and Scotty who will lead us through this one. Ball delivery is essential today in the spaces of subi with a tall forward structure, and we have shown a great flair for losing on the rebound. Lovett may or may not come to play when we need him and we are tall. Give these guys a crack and pin the sherrin on the sash.

Good luck to the WA boys, there are a few of them. I will single Jetta out for a big day. It is exactly this kind of match that may make the lad.

A little partisan but will say the Bombers by 4 goals

Most confident Ive been for a while going to Subiaco. Guess the teams usually arent this pathetic when we travel over there. Our forward line has plenty of depth to stretch the Dockers defence. Neagle may be out though which lowers our potency. Monfries has been superb the last 6 weeks culminating in his brilliant game last week. Lets hope he maintains his strong form.
Will be keeping my eye out for Jetta again. Developed a strange obsession over the past 2 months. His forward pressure has been ok but he simply doesnt get enough of the ball. Fortunately he still has plenty of time on his side.

Myers on Palmer is a mouth-watering prospect. Wonder what former poster Sanj thinks of the decision to recruit Myers now;)

Welshy's doing very well and getting a fair bit of the ball.
Laycock responsible for Spike's goal. He's playing well.

Smokey dropping a few easy marks.
Lucas still looks out of touch.

Hille, McVeigh and Jetta keeping us in the game.

We are lucky we aren't 6 goals down.

Our tackling has been dismal. Too many high tackles.

Monfries disposal and decision making has been woeful - undoing a lot of his hard work.

They are one man down so if we can stay with them in the third quarter there's a good chance we can run over the top.

29 Jun 2008, 18:56
Nash has given away a some sloppy free kicks. Jetta has been excellent, hope he can kick on in the 2nd half.

How's Ricky been?

Not shocking. He needs to get into the contest more, but what he's had hasn't been bad at all. Had the first inside 50 of the game, a huge kick to Lucas.

More thoughts:
NLM out of his depth on Tarrant
Who's on Head?
Matthew Nicholls is a ____ing ____.
Pev/Reimers/Dyson/Nash need to get more of the ball.
Sandilands is massive. Ryder looked like a midget on him.
The umpires are shit.
Lloyd is a gun.
Lucas still looks out of sorts.
Spike great in the second half of that quarter.
Fletch not great on Pav atm, but a few of Pav's goals have been lucky. That dislocated finger won't help at all.
Hille is a superstar.
Chook hasn't been bad.
Welshy's been excellent again.
Myers - did he come back on after that split nose? I didn't notice him.
Lonergan is being Lonergan.
We're missing the extra option of Neagle.
We were looking slow in the first half of that quarter.
Jetta has been electric when he's had the ball and tackling well. Hasn't had a heap of touches, but they've all been good. Up yours, bomberbill22.
Lovett good in patches.
Stanton has been his usual self - getting a lot of the ball, and using it well.
Jobe has been excellent.
I'd like to see Myers given a role in some set plays like Head has been - he's got a booming kick on him as well.
Monfries has been alright. Not as good as last week, but he's had a lot of the ball. Needs to improve disposal, but hasn't been shocking.
Rama kicked a good goal, but has been missing since then.

If I've missed anyone, they've either been themselves, and haven't stood out, or they've been shit and I haven't noticed them.
