Pavlich is lacking a bit of confidence when shooting for goal, I guess due to all the scrutiny placed on him. I hope it improves.
Was surprised Tarrant got the goal near the end there, was a great shot. Seems to get the hard ones.

A bloke who sits close to where I sit had me having an ironic laugh.
He called to some of the people on the oval. " You yellow thief ". Pretty much summed it up.

The last few minutes of the last Q where players were bombing it long instead of showing some poise under pressure and directing it better cost us the game. We had them on toast but just didn't have the class/skill/decision making to kick the goal to win.

I think a lot of the players, particularly the young guys, where nearly out on their feet due to lack of rotations. They threw everything they had at it, and unfortunately just weren't good enough.

Did you watch the game? He kicked 6.1 how is that a lack of confidence???
He has never lacked confidence in front of goal, he has missed and everyone misses..

The ones he has been missing recently he would usually gobble up. When comparing pav to someone, it isn't a normal player, we usually compare him to his previous best. :)

That's total rubish. We lost for all sorts of reasons, but Pav if anything was (again) one of the key players that kept us in it and lifted the side to almost win it. We will never know 'what ifs', but playing the game with almost no bench and a young midfield that can barely do a full AFL game at the best of times explains it pretty well ... also lead to the following:

I don't think it was that bad in the last quarter (having just watched it). I think it was a fair idea to get it in there quickly where Pav was in the zone and hope for the best before the flood could get well and truly set ... must say though, that Ibbo miss was one that's sticking in my mind. Did the right thing I thought, he's a nice kick normally but it just faded away ... arrgh the pain.

seems like every time Pav misses a shot people are disecting its effect on the game! He is the most accurate kick in the AFL, lets leave it at that.

Or Walls. Pav did more than enough.

im deifnitely not bagging pav, the blokes entitled to miss 1 out of 7! But just saying that this 4 mins killed us in the context of the match... We had held firm all qtr and to let it slip so late was painful... Most likely had something to do with the players all practically playing the whole qtr, and tiring but not looking to make excuses

The Pav is an out and champion player, he has kicked more goals than any one else in the AFL over the past 3 seasons. I shuddder to think were we would be with out him.
