The past 3 games would of hurt his chances and he is managing OP, do you still think he can win the brownlow. His game today was good without being brilliant. He still came up with an amazing 10 clearances and was at his best in and under and was one of only a few trying. That post who was saying he should be dropped and looked like a slow avergage midfielder is one of the worst posts ive seen on BF, he was tagged pretty heavily today.

Would take a big effort from here.

The Yablett looks unstoppable.

2 weeks break for blacky, could be enough to get him back into form, but not brownlo winning form.
I watch Ablett play and he is just amazing, not many players can make a grown man cry by playing footy, Gablett is one of these players. Sad to say there no way black can beat Ablett, especially with the injury blow

gotta remember Blacky has about 5 BOGs already to his credit aswell as maybe a couple of ones or 2s. That was when he missed a game and he went on a roll. Cooney will not poll last round against Port, and if Ablett plays average against crows, i still think it will be even. this break will be good for Blacky and i rekon he will storm home in these last 7 games or so.

I just can't see Ablett playing an 'average game' in the near future... he is just operating on a whole other level.

You sound a bit concerned Roos34... got a bit of cash riding on Blacky? ;)

Yeah, good point. But Ablett seems to have kicked it up another notch, and Bartel has dropped back a little bit and would be stealing less votes.

Ablett is definately on another level this year.
Although Black in my opinion has had a better season than Cooney.
why dosen't black ever get any recognition? he is definately one of the best midfielders I've seen?

If the "Brisbane Line" fiasco of World War 2 taught us anything it is that noone cares about anywhere but South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria;)

You leave Menzies alone!

I meant why isn't he get any recognition in the media. Although as above mentioned it's probably cause he lives in Rugby territory.

I just laugh it off, most of the media is bullshit anyway. It astounds me that players like Dale Thomas and (insert collingwood newbie) get massive headlines on how they are the next best thing, (then dropped quietly next month), and players like Black and Power get no recognition. We love em and our opponents fear them, thats what matters.

Hey, what a great name for a footy team. I think you might be onto something there. Nah, probably wouldn't work. Forget I even mentioned it.

I believe he's still a chance, but Ablett would have to be right in the mix if not infront.

Cooney should also be up there
