HOW good was he yesterday and in hadrills old number did you see the 2nd quarter when he played on kicked longgggggggg and accurate (which is what we need to do and ran from the back50 recieved hands off peake and banged longggggggggg and accurate to pav and he kicked a goal from that. If only all our players could do that. WHAt A Player he will be:D:D:thumbsu:

He made some fricken crucial mistakes during the game though, so i think we need to temper our responses. i think he gets a bit caught in "watching the play" rather than getting the ball.

I thought he had a very serviceable game. He was one of the few Dockers prepared to kick it at all. For an AFL debutant I thought it was a decent effort.

Good effort for a first game. Looks like he could be a player.
Only one way to find out and that is to keep playing him.

Didn'y a lot of them though!!Give him a break it is his first game at this level.I think you need to be less negative in your responses.
I thought his debut was a good one,not great but better than servicable.
As for watching the play, hopw can you decide that on one game?
Peake ,Sandi,Pav Schammer all made crucial mistakes during the game and they are experienced players, don't come down hard on a first gamer.

At times he looked like a very nervous boy. He needs another few games, I'm sure he'll come good. I would love to see him get a game along the likes of Black and Headland kicking the ball into the forward 50.
The play where Head kicked it into himself then launched a left-foot missile to Palmer up on the forward side of the centre square was one of the best plays out of defense for us this year. I think Head then got it back and hit a forward as well, but I may have that confused with another instance.
That said, he did have that nervous debutant look about him at times. But people said that about Ibbo earlier this year, and he picked up the pace ok. Hopefully Heady (whoops, cant call him that) will too.
yeah i thought head was in the best 4 or 5.....for essendon.
won't play again this year.
hinkley was far more impressive with his long kicks and inside 50's.

Head was average. Servicable, but just.
Hinkley looked better.

Was very impressed with Head on Sunday v Melbourne. Looks a Josh Drummond type with a long raking accurate left foot. What were your thoughts?
His 2nd game was better than his first. Got caught out a few times due to the increased pressure / speed from WAFL but seemed to adapt better the more game time He got.
Overall I quite liked his game.
Certainly worth persisting with.

He had a very good 3rd quarter, won't be dropped for the game against port.

made a couple of good overhead spoils and also kept his feet and followed up and won the ball.
even when woneamirri marked at the end of the term head couldn't have spoiled much harder without giving a free away.
hope he is persisted with.

He's a good long kick, reminds me a bit of Mark Bayes from Swans back in the late 80's, early nineties

And on the plus side, Head has his own teeth as well. :thumbsu:
Seemed to have learn't from his mediocre first game, looked pretty good against Melbourne.
