Watching a few of Brisbane's games this year I've noticed that both Adcock and Copeland haven't been up to scratch.

Was it the fact that Jed had such a stellar season in 2007, that he set the bar to high? He isn't even a shadow of his form from 2007. Theres no doubt that the kid is talented and i don't question his commitment, Maybe he just needs a rest?

Copeland doesn't look himself either, his game yesterday was horrible. Does the question of his future needs to be raised?

You may want to have a look through their roster watch threads.

The general consensus on Adcock is that he is clearly playing injured. Along with Black, he'd be the player most in need of the one week break.

Copeland would die for the team but he is struggling at the moment. He's never been known for sublime football talent and relies heavily on his toughness and enthusiasm. As we bring more youngsters through he will always be on the selection fringe.

Thanks Natanui for your concern.

As TBD said, Adcock is not quite 100% fit and will certainly benefit from a week off. And even with that, if you watched any amount of Brisbane games, he has still been quite servicable for us.

Your impressions of Copeland are certainly more accurate. He has been a wonderful servant for our club, but father time may be catching up with his style of play.

I also note that you have your club as unlisted. A good move seeing as though there are a few teams seeing to be doing everything in their powers to ensure you are with them. The Round 19 Derby may just be renamed the Natanui Silver Platter I would have thought. After yesterdays performance, it is clear that Melbourne do not rate you:D

I had to double check to make sure he didn't have Melbourne listed as his team. ;)

Adcock is either playing with an injury, or is getting a bit weather-worn due to his undoubted hardness at the ball. Doesn't have anything like his past kicking length. And now seems to have acquired a certain, probably deserved, reputation with the officials for staging.

Copeland has clearly gone- never really fast, he now lacks any of the real pace needed for top AFL ranks, and it was rather sad to see several Demons running away from him with ball in hand. I think it is something on a commentary on our coaching ranks that we still think he is worthy of a senior game.

Is it true that we rate as the worst team in the AFL for kicking accuracy, 2 years in a row. If so, who is the kicking coach??

One thing that is bugging me about Jed, is that he plays for the free often, and it seems like he is doing this more and more.

I am not doubting his toughness at all, he goes in hard.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I think you'll find a lot of supporters have noticed this, look throught the threads relating to him and the game against Melbourne. Definitely needs to start being disciplined and play to the whistle.

As for Copeland, I hope he can go out on a high because he isn't contributing enough to warrant a spot on our list.

Did he buy a carton of home brand tinned dog food. He can feast mad max style. Some for him, some for the dog.
He needs a pay rise young Jedi:D

Jed Adcock will improve on his stoppage play. I don't see Robert Copeland as a 'run-with' player anymore. He has been tried as an extra Forward, with only a glimpse of success. Tough call, but it might be time for him to finish!:(
