I think he has really improved this year reckon he has earned his spot in the 22. he runs the ball out of the backline pretty well n he gets alot of the loose ball?? id like to see him stay in the 22 aslong as he keeps playing like this

Wouldn't call 27 kicks in four games a lot of ball.
I think coming from Noble Park he should be more aware of what's around him and a hell of a lot quicker running away from danger! :D
I'll stay away from the thread from here on, as I accept that he has his fans.

I'm breaking my promise.
I don't count the handballs if they are "this ball is hot and I need to give it to someone even if they are not in a better position".
The guy is meant to be a designated kicker, with Gilbo, Max, Blake and Dempster not amongst the best exponents of the drop punt.
I'd really like someone to watch the games again and provide details of which kicks went forward (not sideways 20m) and hit a target, and which handballs actually created play that could result in a scoring opportunity.
Ok, that's really it (no more on this from me). Note this is a non-core promise.
Gwilty is going very nicely at the moment. Good defender. Doesn't rebound as much as Fisher b/c that's not his job. Stays home, invariably keeps a forward quiet - hasn't had many goals kicked on him. Great judgment in the air.

Derserves a place in our current 22. Still young, so you never know. Might develop into a serviceable player.

Sam played in about 5 games in 2004 ( his first year), and was probably getting about as many disposals per game as Gwilt is this year ( his fourth). Sam then played most of the season in 2005. My memory is shot but according to Wikipedia, during 2005 he was typically played on the third best oppositon forward and began to provide his trademark forward run.
So he might have been S*** but not for very long.
Sam was a bit older when he was drafted, but if Gwilt is going to get to that level he had better start cranking up.

I think he is going 'ok'.
Needs to work a bit harder and get a bit more of the pill before i'd say he's in the best 22.

He is OK.
Not the greatest, but more useful to the Saints than at least 6 others on our list.
And at 22 he may still improve a bit.

Jonesy's 24 and he's got a lot better. Hopefully Gwilt can too, but he needs constant games in the AFL to get better.
