I dont agree that it's false hope. when you consider it was the efforts of our youngsters in cotchin, Kel Moore, Hughes, morton that worked us into the game only to fail as a result of the efforts of senior players in Brown and simmo really underlines that our future success will be built on the quality of our youth, we need to throw more opportunities their way at the expense of ground time for anyone over 25.
Yep, plenty of hope I reckon. I'll be buying a membership again next year, and the next, and the next..........

Come on Cogga - surely anyone on BF is pretty hardcore. I am and I know you are. If you truly believed there was no hope, I doubt you'd spend so much time discussing the Tiges.

I'm sick of waiting Bo :p
Woe is me :D
I can remember from about the time I was 11 or 12 being told to just wait and be patient, the following year it got worse and we won the spoon.
The happiest recent moment as a tiger was the day we sacked frawley.
LOL @ that being a highlight moment.
CR - what about that shot of Malthouse and Licuria bawling after the '02 GF. Don't tell me that didn't bring you any joy.

don't wanna rain on your parade coach, but technically speaking frawley didn't get sacked...he served his contract and we didn't rehire him:D:p

naaa man, like Jfish suggests...there are alot of us here that get off on the tiges being failures...and we really want the team to wallow in the mire because we can continue to pay out on them....dont look at me dude....me puts it out there, and cops baggings for putting it out there, because i go to the GF each year and ____ing look and spew that the yellow and black aint running out....i will not toe the company line for the sake of "taking it easy" on the coaching panel and who they deem as the required group.
I tell you what...here is one out of left field....you know how all the tigerheads are going gaga at the "arrival" of Lids and his influence on the game? well...to me, for the amount of ball he gets and for a player with the supposed talent that he has, he should be changing the fortunes of games...until he does and he hasnt...even Lids is on notice....right now the best player we have in the team has only played a handful of games...that is a damning condemntation of our brains trust and what they have done in the last 4 years..;)

 tells you how deluded I was back then, through my rose coloured glasses I have always seen it as being sacked.
LOL thanks for nothing emperor even my recent fondest moment as a tiger is tainted. :p

To be fair to Deledio Cogga, if he played in the Geelong midfield he wouldn't need to be "changing the fortunes of games." And Cotchin might be the next Gazza or Judd, so it may not be a damning condemnation of the team.

Guys there shouldn't be any talk of a new coach until we have a back up plan that will really work. We should put all this talk on hold until the end of next year. Let Wallace see out his contract and develop the kids and by the end of 2009 Andy Collins will have at least 20 games under his belt and then can replace Wallace as Captain Coach for 2010. Lets not rush the kid or put to much un necessary pressure on the young man this year as it will stifle his development.

Phew! Just when I thought all hope was gone, you bob up with a gem like this and renew my optimism in the clubs future. Thanks TT! :p
But well done TT & Co for helping us win more games this year than '07.
A special thanks for playing more youth this season (pushing out Pets & Tivs), but in particular playing our young-gun Cotchin - what a star. :thumbsu:
PS Dear Terry, can we please SMASH the Dee's in Rnd 22? A simple win wont sustain me over a predictably long summer of no footy. Ta. :thumbsu:

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Forsaken days.
Those were good times Oxx in the blackest of days for the RFC and were also the days of being banished from the chosen ones. :p
My son turns 4 this week, how does one ask him to follow Richmond ? Why should I be so cruel to my son and have him follow a similar fate to me ? LMAO

Bo, what does it say about our club that the youngsters like Deledio and already Cotchin are already in our best every week?
Our senior players should be in the top 3 votes every week. It makes no sense that kids are playing better footy than the experienced players.
Kids carrying the load the senior players are shirking.
It says everything about where the club is at that every week we debate how much value the senior players bring to the club.
Richo is the only senior player that plays like he wants to win.

The dud seniors are being phased out. We have been phasing out those duds the past few years, and it is getting close to the end. That is the positive, as far as I see it.

That and a lot more is having strong, long term positive effects at RFC.
The last few years have been a well structured, brilliantly executed sequence of events that have the tigers list looking in tip top shape
Well done to TW and the coaching staff for harnessing the plethora of talent at Richmond, and turning it into a well oiled football side :thumbsu:
