They're not the quickest of blokes, they're not flashy, and they won't get many accolades for their games today.
But you wind back the tape, you watch that last quarter, and you'll marvel at their hardness, tenacity and sensational decision-making when it mattered.
They were bloody sensational.
P.S. Dan Kerr - I love you.

****in oath
Banfield was pretty good all day, though his disposal was shockin at times, but that last quarter showed why they called him "warrior" down at the club. Braun too stepped it up in the last quarter but man whatd he do to his head?
Damn i hate CHannel ****ing 9 for crossing to the Shockers game halfway thru that last quarter   THey left when scores were level...i missed the best part!
haha, i thought Braun looked wrong
they both played really well and did some really good things. both were extremely important in that last quarter too
Braun's hair cut made the difference ;)
Banners actually ran an opponent down...his speed must be returning.
Important contributions from both
Yeah you often overlook guys like this when you see Kerr kicking goals and Cousins breaking through the midfield. But Braun and Banners were no less important. Both hard at it and were very honest. Banfield was good all day and Braun worked his way into the contest.
I also thought Taylor was quite good, didnt get much of it but put his body on the line on many occasions. Humm also brought some much needed hardness to the midfield.

I thought Banfield really stepped up today. I admit I was one of his knockers early on in the season, but full credit to Banners - he sure knows how to step up for these big games.
I also saw flashbacks of vintage Michael Braun today. Must of been the haircut, or the media attention you had during the week on BigFooty MJB!

I believe he changed his season around now! He'd have to be 50/50 to keep going next season now. He certainly improved his position at the club with his performance

Will be traded to Freo IMO. Freo could do with another experienced midfielder, and there really is no room for him at the eagles. He's a good player, unfortunately this year he's been forced to play in defence due to our abundance of midfielders and lack of small defenders.
I'm sure Connolly knows how good Taylor can be, and would most likely show interest in Taylor if he became available.
