he's a keeper...not the best, not the fastest, not the tallest...but up there for trying, giving his best and he always creates a contest
also anyone else notice that he reminds me of Robert Harvey
both number 35...both play in a similar fashion
also ive never seen them in the same room before

Definatly the fastest...
The kid has afterburner's unmatched by any of our other players IMO. I reckon he struggles in the midfield and after failing down back, he should be developed as a halffoward flanker

I am impressed by his work ethic, he obviously has been putting the hard yards in, his game has gone up a notch. Hope that he can improve more.
I have him in our best 22 at the moment, perhaps off the bench.
If he aint the fastest he would be damn close to it & is capable of ripping the ball away in a contest and putting a quick 10 meters on his opponent. Is no pussy either.
A bit of an X factor as he would never be seen as a threat by the other team.

I like the kid. takes the game-on and backs himself everytime. I rember against port, in the last quarter when he took a mark, took on one of the burgoyne's, kicked to richo who kicked the goal. Our only goal that term which turned out to be the winning one. Defintely has pace. I really like the way the kid goes about it:thumbsu:
i questioned his skills after the first c ouple of games but has since shown a marked improvement with his feet kicking both passes and goals with both feet, whilst still no darren jarman i do consider him ok, great pace ala foley seeing how foles trains will help him get the best out of himself will be a handy player for us in the future:thumbsu::thumbsu:
Good on TW and the recruiting staff and matty white for his continued improvement

Worth Perserverance considering he'd out run makybe diva, unfortunatly he usually kicks as well as the great horse, although i heard makybe diva once kicked her own poop 60 metres straight down felmingtons staright. In conclsuion white looks like a likely type, if he starts finishing better and hitting some targets more than 60/40!

He's quick, but sometimes i feel he tries to 'rush' everything.
I cant question his work ethic coz he does try very hard to get the best out of himself, but his skills by foot are still lacking. He can kick straight, but he cant seem to measure distance, so he will either kick it too short or over the persons head.
I like the kid, loves to try and take the players on, uses a lot of risk but can break tackles and is fast as...reminds me of jake king but taller. I like players who have the bollocks to take the game on. And he sure does like to do that, major improver at the Richmond FC.

Has been one of our most accurate deliverers into the forward 50 this season i'd say, his finishing has improved dramatically. Definately see room for further improvement in him, if he can get more of the pill in the middle he'll be a very handy hhf/mid.

Explosive pace and has excellent core strength to break tackles. Delivery has improved. Breaks the lines for us. Still young and learning. A definite keeper.
I reckon he goes alright:thumbsu:
a handy player and could become "handier "

Must admit, I was wrong about the kid. I bagged him when he first came into the side, saying how bad he was, we'd given him a chance and he didn't take it.
Now when I watch him I like the look of him. The pace of him is amazing, I reckon he could be a handy player for us.

That about sums it up for me too... he looked completley out of place last year.

i really like Matty White !! this kid will bleed for the club .. he's been a tigers supporter his whole life !! he would die for this club .. he is the perfect person to have around the club ..
plus he is a handy footballer, smart around goals, lightning quick, hard at the ball, makes the right decisions, takes the game on ... he is a weapon !! LOVE HIM ...
he is a crossbreed.

I like his workrate but I dont see him making it. I saw the same workrate in Axel Foley but I also saw that clearance ability and quick reactions where as I cant see much but the Passion to play for Matt so dont know how long he will last.

He still has alot of improvement in him, he's only got a couple games beneath his belt. Will be a good player for us.

I really like how he stands up in the contest and is willing to take the game on. Only problem is he has no left foot and is similar to Raines in this part of the game. Whenever he gets caugth on the left he is stuffed and turns the ball over or has to run sideways.

whitey has the tools to be a pretty good player at the level, pace, good vision and a nice pentrating kick. Needs to lift his game to the next level where he reg picks up 15-20 possies currently sits at 10-12...It took newy a while to get to that stage, i reckon whitey is on the same track, i like the boy:thumbsu:
Hes a trier and works his arse off week after week, more than you can say for some more talented players, but can we afford a minuscule trier who only gets about 12 possessions a match?
I know stats aren't everything, but gees he'd want to do a lot off the ball if he continues with those usually less than satisfactory numbers (for a mid)...

He might not be the fastest at the club but he uses his pace the most.
I like the boy
Don't worry about not getting 30 touches each week, he's not getting much game time. Similar to how Foley was getting restricted game time early in his career. Look forward to him getting more of a go next year.

Whitey is doing just fine. He is improving with each game. Great pace, will and hunger and learning to read it better with each game. ;)
I think he's quite well built, although he could spend a lot more time in the gym. Uses the ball alright and is fairly quick. Still developing, keep him for another 3-5 years and if he doesn't perform maybe look at trading.
this kid shows more hunger & balls than half the team,
will become another foley i really like the way this kid is comeing on.

What I like about Whitey is the pressure he puts on the opposition when they have the ball, at least half of the team could and should take a leaf out of his book! He has improved a lot this year! Still more improvement required, but I see him as ahead, at this stage, of Edwards, Hyde, and a host of others.Time will tell all!
