i think your being abit silly saying delist Andrew Collins, Daniel Connors, Shane Edwards & Matthew White, all still very young, alot of people would agree with me. id offer them all a 1 or 2 year deal, maybe one will be delisted maybe collins or connors but id be suprized. id offer edwards 2 years, theres no way wallace will lose edwards he loves him

Dont think the Tigers would have any trouble signing any of those players as no other clubs would be interested except for Richo , Newman , Foley , Thursfield and McGuane i dont think the others would have other clubs knocking their door down for a signature.

Question is how many of theses blokes are they prepared to delist...

Oakley-Nicholls is gone , Beat Port in Adelaide and gets dropped not a good sign for him.
Polo will get every chance i think till seasons end but will be shopped around , may struggle to stay on the list.
Hyde would be puzzled if he was given another deal.
Matt White should be safe , but perhaps might be shopped around , will stay on the list though.
Conners simply dont know if doesnt play senior football by years end could be in trouble.
You would think Edwards would get another year , dont know if he would attract interest from other clubs due to his size.
Bowden know wants another year but the time has come to part ways.
Pettifer would be surprised if still at the tigers next year and dont think another club would take him.

First and Second round picks wont be traded this season i dont think by any club , unless its for a Brown , Kerr etc.

Problem is for the Tigers the players they are going to shop around have little value.

Bowden - In my opinion is finished, gets cheap, cheap kicks, I don't want that. Did not like it last year and don't like it this year. But Wallace may keep him.

Hyde - May also be kept , but I hope we get rid of him, sure he's played 1 or 2 good games with us this year but that is not enough considering the amount of chances he has had and I don't think he has proved himself. Could also be traded although is 27 next year and I doubt he would be worth anything.

JON - Please oh please get rid of him. I mean fair enough he is young but you can just tell, he looks so lost and constantly turns the ball over.

Pettifer - Could be traded to another club although is also 27 next year, if not traded he wont be at Richmond next year anyway. Thank God.

by this i mean, from the youngsters, the brains trust has to pinpoint the ones they have faith in delivering on their potential and overlap their tenure so the new team cant speak to them when they are allowed. Interesting times ahead. ;)

You'll open a can of worms with that one Mario, but I agree that JON has more upside than Kingy in the future of the club.
Kingy is not a player that will take you too a GF or premiership as his skills are not up to scratch.
At least with JON, the jury is still out and I would think that it will be at least the end of 2009 before he would be considered to be delisted.

I read back through some threads from last year and Kel Moore was the player almost everyone said "will not make it is a hack delist him" this time last year and have a look at him this year.
No-one would call for Moore to be dropped of the list after what he has done this year.

agree with both Tiger67 and Mario...JON has a potential upside we should perservere with compared to others on the list. In any case there won't be wholesale changes to the list, and there are a few players whose papers will be stamped well before the likes of JON.

Joel Bowden 2008 - Sign 1 year performance based contract.
Andrew Collins 2008 - 1 year performance based contract.
Daniel Connors 2008 - 1 year performance based contract.
Shane Edwards 2008 - 1 year performance based contract.
Nathan Foley 2008 - Sign to a 3 year deal with the option of a 4th.
Chris Hyde 2008 - Cut from the squad.
Luke McGuane 2008 - 1 year deal (his extended future depends on the development of Rance).
Chris Newman 2008 - Sign to a 2 year deal with the option of a 3rd, provides leadership.
Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls 2008 - Delist and use last rookie pick on, realistically no one else would want him at this stage.
Kayne Pettifer 2008 - Take whatever we can get. Morton is already better at doing what he does and deprives people with futures games.
Dean Polo 2008 - 1 year performance based contract.
Matthew Richardson 2008 (vet) - 1 year with an option of a second.
Jay Schulz 2008 - Have a look at what we can get but if nothing decent comes up I'd keep him to a 1 or 2 year deal especially with Polak as he is now.
Will Thursfield 2008 - Sign to a 2 year deal with the option of a 3rd if he remains injury free.

Matthew White 2008 - Has been good in fits but will need to build upon that to earn more than the 1 year extra I'd give him.
