Is Woosha trying to poke an ants nest? I can't see Bell wanting to go to the Eagles, to me it looks like some kind of stunt.

Now that Bell pulled out another interesting thing to discuss might be does Bell support dropping experienced players who are in our best 22 when the season is almost over to play the kids. The answer must be yes, me and Bell are alike in some ways.

Well if he wants to be a head coach one day then he would be better off learning in a new environment, at West Coast or elsewhere. But if he wants to stay in WA then West Coast is the only option :)

I just vomited a little into my mouth.

That said - all the blueandyella coach said was "yes I am interested" and think a man of Bell's integrity will tell Woosh to jam his drug fuelled corporation ... won't he?

I ____ing hope so.

How's this for another option.I think with the possibility of a state election later this year, he may have other options.
Carps is known to very keen on him and he has been seen at Union protests, remember the orange shirt.
He now has enough time to get organised if he is interested.

Well I wouldn't be so sure about WA Labor getting back in. If the Libs can get their act together then they should be easily defeated. I know thats a big if atm :)

almost all the preselections for both parties have already happened. Unless someone pulls out for Bell he isn't running this election.

I think Belly also fancys himself as a federal politican. The rumor mill last election was he was looking at Swan. If that gets redistributed it could be a nominally Labor seat which would be very attractive to Bell.

Look if Belly went into federal politics, there is only one seat for him ..... Fremantle. Get rid of the member that was parachuted in there and replace them with a "local".

In all seriousness, Belly please do not go into politics, your integrity will never recover.

Can't see Belly interested in coaching at a senior level, but I hope Freo keep hold of his phone number and uses him as a mentor for the younguns.

Fremantle is reserved for union hacks and people who are generally considered "unelectable" because the seat is so safe if Saddam Hussein was running for the seat on a policy of taking over the government, as the Labor candidate he would still win in a canter.

Celebrity candidates go into marginals because they get a couple of percentage points based on their other career.

Really?

So tell me the new federal member wasn't working with the UN for the last 10 years.

On the contrary.

Belly has to get stuck into the sexual harrassment before he'll ever have cred as a politician here.

tell me the candidate has any personal vote in that Electorate. She didn't even live in the electorate when they preselected her. She got parashuted in.

Why it is even an issue? Bell wouldn't go to Fremantle because he could be used elsewhere better.

How is it possible not to be parachuted in when you have lived the last 10 years of your life in New York?

A bit of a throwaway comment from Worsfold, nothing in it. He would be negligent if he didn't touch base with a recently retired champ of WA football when you're looking to re-build your footy department!

And yes, the thought of Bell working for the darkside makes me want to vomit also.

I have to agree with this. That's what most aspiring coaches do. If he does give coaching a crack, then I hope it's not going to be via WCE. Soufs would do well if they recruited him as an assistant. However, I'd like to see him at Sharks ;)

What's yours?

That politicians aren't allowed to gain wordly experience before making decisions for us? No wonder they suck. Xenophobic much?

So lifting a females top uninvited is not likely to cause alienation, but snifting a vacated chair is?

How about suggesting threesomes?

Whilst suggesting a threesome is not guaranteed to alienate, you need to look at who offered!

But why should she? She had an incredibly high level job, that would have been jeopardised if she had to live in Fremantle before nominating. If you want the best people, you have to accept that. Her skills could command her a multi-million dollar salary if she wanted it, so you would have thought a real attraction was warranted. Besides, no-one else challenged her.

Her work previous to leaving is incredibly relevant to the Fremantle area and electorate, especially over the next 15 years or so. And her personal philosophy is completely congruent with the electorate and the types of people her electorate attracts.

It's all well and good giving a seat to some old codger who has lived in an area for eons, but if someone is of such obviously astounding talent, their impact is going to be much more beneficial to the local area and party.

Who are you? The designated Labor cheersquad? this thread is about Peter Bell. If he has political ambitions they aren't going to happen in Fremantle.

Though i can't work out how the #### a posting at the UN is relevant to Fremantle... but anyway.
