I find myself sitting up at 12:15am looking at bigfooty because i have fallen victim to going for coffee this afternoon and disposing of a cap and a mocha (skinny of course):D

So i pose the question; What keeps you up at night?

When i was a kid it was late night WWF wrestling, whether it was the weekly show or the Summerslams, Wrestlemania, Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble. My brothers and i use to keep cups of water beside us and when we were tired we would splash water in our eyes.

The Ashes series always kept me up, there was something magical about sitting up with the old man and watching our boys play the poms in England.

Now Coffee keeps me up, being old sux:thumbsd:

For the first few weeks feeding the baby, now to chat to my husband on the phone while he's at work. Also, it's my only chance to seriously read up on all AFL news without the kids interrupting because I'll do anything to beat my husband in our tipping comp!

what keeps me up at night - erm restless leg syndrome, jellybean inside me using my bladder as a trampoline, general insomnia, the list is endless

when not pregnant - nothing keeps me from my sleep unless my dear partner has a bad snoring night!

Civilization, our two kids taking it in turns to wake up during the night, having to get up early the next day and a snoring dog!

What about interstate trips in the car, you know back when airfares were so expensive only the riched flew in planes.

I remember never being able to get to sleep when we would drive from brissie to victoria, i laugh now about staying awake until we left and then falling alseep as soon as we left the drive way.

And now it's actually cheaper to fly than to drive because of petrol prices (Sydney to GC flying is < $100 for two each way, and about $120 for us to drive in petrol).

At the moment the Tour. Coffee helps. If I wanted to go to sleep I'd get on the St Kilda board for a while.

Dunno why but this thread reminds me of that Steven Wright saying - 'Hate it when my foot falls asleep during the day cos it means it's going to be up all night'. And no, thats not the Sydney player..

And, BTW, yes, my signature is a quote from the man himself.

Tour de France........my husband watches the race, I love seeing all the gorgeous little villages, with their grand old houses, and beautiful countryside.........Normal times, I can lay in bed wide awake, and I seem to try to solve the problems of the world!!....
