I have no idea why thornton is still in that side. Keep turning the ball over week after week.

Yeh I dunno how Thornton is still there:confused: He is clearly the worst player in the AFL and everyone can notice it except Harves:mad:

It's a master stroke by Harvs. He knows Geelong will be looking to kick it to Thornton's man at every opportunity. Harv's will leave him on the bench the entire match, giving us numerous out-on-the-full frees.

Brilliant planning.

GOLD!! I just hope thats what harvs is thinking. Because that is a masterstroke.:)

Does anyone else think that our backline is ridiculously tall, I think that Grover is the shortest out of the players listed in that backline and he is about 188cm. I know that Roger is out an when he comes back should replace Thornton (fingers crossed) but that still leaves us with Grover: 188cm, Johnson: 193cm, Mundy: 192cm, McPharlin: 193cm and Dodd: 189cm.

Is it just me or do we have way to many tall, running defenders?

We don't have many options though Curry. We really need to find a Hayden clone asap.

Yeh thats true, I reckon Brock should have been in the team all year as well as Head. We really need to draft a small defender now that I think about it.

Yet our midfield is too short. Go figure.

thorton is in the side because who are we going to replace him with?

I would prefer anyone in instead of Thornton, when Hayden is fit then he should be in but until then it should be Brock in IMO.

No, I think they are all very attractive (to women). Ok, I might be tempted to sleep with Luke Mac but only because its been a while.

McPharlin is actually 196cm. He grew but they never updated his stats.

Grover and Thornton have the leg speed to play small. They can also drop Mark Johnson back who is not quick but can play tighter than a gusset on a BBW.

Mundy is tall but can play soft if he needs to.

Bugger me....Thornton??

ok I know it's been said before but I think somebody needs to find out what the hell is going on with his selection. Break into his house or something and find the incriminating evidence to support harvs selection of him. It's gotta be something.....

You're right Milky.

We don't have nearly enough players who: run sideways at the first opportunity...run down the field in a semi-fast fashion and ignore the leads and then kick after the forward's finished the lead...generally butcher the ball by foot, and God save us all, is even worse by hand...is as soft as butter, and has no defensive pressure...can't tackle.

You're right, we're stuffed :thumbsu:

Why are you questioning the Thornton. I'm just a little sad not to see MacManus in... we are playing for the November cup now.

That team is way too tall.

Expect to see Peake and/or O'Brien come in for McPharlin (inj?), Mi.Johnson (inj?), Head (team balance) or Thornton (insert adjective here).

Given that McPharlin and Johnson should be right to come back, I'd like to see O'Brien come in for Thornton.
