Notice tonight Cometti once again managed to get a lick in against Freo during a game we weren't involved in, something he's a master at.

When Carlton were coming at the Saints in the last quarter he said that the Saints had gone into their rope a dope same as against us but that we hadn't been able to pick it apart. Carlton were picking it apart because apparently they are a better team. At that point the Saints then kicked 4 unanswered goals so I don't know if Carlton are still a better team as the comparison wasn't mentioned again.

Carlton have the best full forward in the comp, the best player in the comp and a Rolls Royce midfield of #1 draft picks but when they go down no one is talking about how disappointing they are or that Judd should have won the match of his own boot the way they did with Pav.

I don't know whether I'm getting over sensitive but I honestly don't think we have played that bad footy this year and yet it feels like everyone has been lining up to put the boots in. We have been in with a chance in almost every single game we've played this year and I'd say were a Haselby/Headland/fit player on the bench away from winning most of them. We could easily have been in the 8 or thereabouts if a few things had gone our way.

Ah well I suppose the only way to win respect is to start winning the close ones.

Hope Browne puts in a good one tomorrow.

I defintely noticed it but actually thought he was to some degree right. We just didn't have the cattle (both skills and mental poise) to break down that sort of game plan ... none the less, Denis also failed to mention that the Dockers game was at the Telstra Dome, one of the most 'flood friendly' ground that AFL is played on.

Give it another season or two without some genuine success and they will start copping it ... can't see them not getting better though, that midfield is on the verge of breaking out to being elite, need a defensive side to them though. The 'anti-Pav' sentiment that has been popping up here and there has come from people who have NFI and are generally certified idiots, ignore them.

Anybody who has followed the Dockers progress would attest to that, but nevertheless, good teams find ways of winning the close ones, we are near bottom of the ladder for a reason unfortunately

Exactly.

I quite liked his dig at Adam Selwood actually

A fifty was given to Bryce Gibbs

He said something along the lines of..given all that has happened in the week..If Adam Selwood played for St Kilda and someone gave away a fifty.. would he say thats it boys I am off!!..

We got a mention in ABC"s call of the game too.

Scwab and Parkin were raving about Kosi and King's ability to tap the ball cleanly to one of their midfielders and used the example of Sandi who can't do it.
Scwab actually said "unlike the bloke at Fremantle..umm, what's his name?"
