I guess with the passing of one of the greatest to have played the game, it may provide the Bombers with a lot of spark on Saturday.

I hope the Eagles can do it but Mr Reynold's unfortunate death may just have made the win a little bit harder.

I'm not so sure that his passing will have a positive effect on the Bombers, I think it could work either way.

It makes it tough as they will want to win in his memory. We just have to play our game. Could be a negative also though for Essendon.

I don't think it'll have a mental effect on the players. Its a finals game, if they can't put in 100% in this game they never will. If it is to have a negative effect, it will be from the functions the players will have to attend in his memory.

But lets not use the death of someone as a topic of conversation in this manner.

Too true.
I think playing finals is enough to inspire anyside for a win. If it was a home and away match, I would agree to it more being an Essendon win in memory of a great player, but finals is enough to rev up anyside so I think that it will be a 50 / 50 game.

I also like to pause this moment for the memories of a great player in King Richard. He is and always will be the heart and soul of Essendon. The man is a legend and above all a true gentleman. The game has lost one of its greatest.
Champion is too soft a word for this man. Legend and gentleman is the way I shall remember him.

RIP King Richard.
