I just read on my Gee-Mail that Brad Sholl has retired.
Seems like there are a lot of departures from the Cattery this year. See ya Sholly. Thanks for all the memories. A champion player and defender at the Cats!!
All the best in the future....
Go Cats!!:)

Sholl cited the wear and tear on his body as the reason for hanging up the boots...

as a north supporter it always pained me to see sholly, bluey and pickering and to a lesser extent leigh tudor (except when HE once caused me GREAT GREAT pain - & darren steele) do well with your mob.
having said that those blokes didn't ncessarily want to go but when they did they did well and good luck to them.
for sholly and timmy great careers and well done and hopefully they won't cause the roos any more pain by producing some great kids but seeing what they do with the water now in geelong ( the father son kids bonaza) i'm sure those blokes will haunt us in the years to come.
well done fellas on great careers - and to finish sholly always said north didn't want to trade him when he went to them but when he persisted they said they would trade him if they could send him to a good club.
well done

Congratulations to Brad Sholl on a great career. Sholly has been a good player for the Geelong Football Club for a number of years, and I hope Brad finds success in his life after football. :)
All the best Sholly!!
Go Cats!!

Sholly has been one of my favourite players & I'm glad he made his own decision to end his career.
Thanks for the memories Sholly.:)

Now, when will his send off be?? Probably first home game back next year. Or if the VFL make the Grand Final would it be then?
Geelong have done a pretty good job in recent times of sending of champions. Sholly has been a great player to the Cats and will be missed in defence.... especially his toughness!!
Go Cats!!:)
