Looking at the AFL, currently the two strongest clubs are Brisbane and Port.

Although every club in the finals have a decent chance to turn up in the Granny, Brissy and Port seem to be the favourites.

Brissy of course is a product of half Bears and half Roys, while Port Adelaide more or less were the recipients of Fitzroy's AFL licence as at late 1996.

One could argue that each are, in effect, an incarnation of Fitzroy.

So, could the AFL Grand Final be a Roys intra-club?

... ahhh ... so that's a wisdom tooth ...

Well, yeah, them too.

Of course Paxman has been exactly the same player that he was at the Roys, though his talent simply isn't played down any more.

Primus is the same, although he's no longer victimised by the scumpires for 0.95 free kicks against per ruck contest.

Saw a Carl Dilena likeness push the ball along the boundary line for the Reds from back pocket to forward flank today, tap by tap under pressure every step ... reminded me of that Primus effort at the Western Oval.
