View Full Version : Who to barrack for?
I was just looking at the finals draw and seeing what the best results would be for Melbourne, assuming we win on Sunday.
As I see it, we have to hope Collingwood win (which makes me sick), meaning that if Essendon beat WCE, they will go to Footy Park, because if Brisbane beat Adelaide, they will have to play Melbourne at the MCG because of the deal with the MCC. If we win that we play in a Prelim against Collingwood at the MCG.
If results go as expected, we would play Adelaide at Footy Park, then Port once again at Footy Park. I don't like our chances there. So all I can say is GO PIES!!:eek: :o
(This is how I have worked it out. The finals system is so confusing this could be totally wrong!)

Funnily enough, I am not too fussed about playing on the road, as we seem to play our best footy then! Footy Park would be VERY DIFFICULT, especially in finals time as their support is double, plus they boo the umpires if we get a free kick for anything.
I don't really care who else wins, I just want the Dees to go out and do us proud! :)

i would luv them to play 2 weeks in a row at footy park. hehe. BUT its cant be on sunday the 15th cos im in a wedding. and i have a 21st the next saturday but that can be cancelled. or i can go late.
but i will tell u this. Adelaide have come back from a freo rd trip and well they havent been training at their peak over the last week or 2. now this can mean one of 2 things. ONE they r stuffed and will crumble in brisbane meaning we will play them down here.* or TWO they r reserving themselves for the finals and will just lose to brisbane and we will play them down here* either way i dont see Adelaide beating brisbane. the lions KNOW how to lift for finals and they will do so this week. but yeah ill be happy to have them here 2 weeks in a row. especially since my folks said i cant go to melbourne for any finals. :p :D
* = means all goes to plan and we beat the Roos. if not well then this is all hypothetical and has no relevance.

haha. yeah right. ill be kicked out of the family if that happens. but yeah im sure i will find a way around it. its hard if u live interstate and your team is playing a final in your city and u cant go. i would die knowing i was so close yet so far. ahhhhhh well its all hypothetical until next week.
I guess we are good when it comes to travel. However, I guess I am just a little greedy in wanting all our matches in Melbourne. If we make the Prelim, and its in Adelaide, I think I will have to make a visit to the City of Churches.

I wouldn't mind popping over there, but it's not totally guaranteed that we are over there just yet.

well u guys might have to do that then. :p ill be there with a big sign to welcome yas. actually i wont be, but look for a pub and chances are ill be there. :p :D

yes well all u have to do is say there is a line for new Moccasins outside and they will easily get distracted. their bark is way worse than their bite. :p :D
