Most seem to think it's just a media beat up.
Lets hope so.

Rubbish. As I said on Saintsational:
They did the interview shortly after yesterday's open session (which I was at). The story is complete crap. Sure - Harvs MAY retire at season end, but he does not categorically say it in this interview. It's very much a similar quote to the one on Before The Game last weekend.
Sounds like a beat up from Channel 7 trying to get "the exclusive".
Harvs only alluded to the fact it is "probably" his last year. Nothing more in it than that, so I wouldn't get too worked up over it. Channel 7 has already achieved their desired outcome with the promo ;)

Don't see it.
Traditionally he's waited until the end of the year to decide whether or not to go on, why would he be doing it now?

Exactly goodie. Thats what he's always said & always done.

Thats what he said he would do a week ago on before the game.
He said that he would wait until the end of the year, see how he is going, see how the team is going and discuss with RL.
Would be a very disruptive time to annouce a retirement, and I don't see him as being that irresponsible.

Not to be confused with Connor. Unless there is another son? Please say yes!

Gee, that was not really nice.
I almost had a heart attack fearing that he could (due to an injury or the like) retire with immediate effect, almost had an accident squeezing over Fitzroy St in order to get home in time to watch Ch 7 and annoyed the wife by walking straight past her to switch on the telly and then ... nothing new, just a two minute interview with basically the same story as on before the game (except for the missing girlie Sam Lane giggle and that he called Shane Warne a "very good" footy player today).
All the signs and his attitude may hint at a retirement after this season, but I will continue to hope for one more year (wouldn't complain about a two year contract either...) until it's official.

Announce it finals time. Then we know if St.kilda does lose, we have seen for the last time. (Only do this if St.kilda does make the finals and Harvey does indeed retire)

No, you're on the $ there L2M4G, too many damn kids names flying around everywhere. Like a rabbit population expanding at a million miles an hour & all these kids have these freaky names yet they're all similar ... [/ramble]
Haves should be started on a breeding program however so we can get some even greater wins from the father son rule ;)

Yeah that's my only concern. I want to ensure we give him a proper send off. A National Holiday should do the trick :D
